All year long
In 2001, the island of Tung Ping Chau was classified as a Protected Marine Nature Reserve. Since then it has become a pioneer of ecotourism in Hong Kong. The island measures only 1.16 km² which is mostly made up of shale rock. The 250 hectare area surrounding the island is a marine park. This tiny island off Hong Kong has one of the richest ecosystems in the region, its many rockpools teeming with marine life.
Visitors can discover all the treasures of this island and the waters around it, respecting the obvious rules for the protection of nature and allowing its preservation for future generations.
