The patron saint of Wales.

St. David's day is the most important event of the year in Cardiff, since it is a celebration of the patron saint of Wales. The feast of Saint David is therefore a national holiday in Wales. For the occasion, parades and events take place throughout the country.

The largest festival is held in Cardiff, and features concerts, parades and a food festival. Don't be surprised if you come across people wearing daffodils or leeks: these are the Welsh national symbols.
