Although their names remain relatively unknown to the public, like a well-kept secret among those in the know, Cindy Sherman and Richard Prince were two leading figures that revolutionised contemporary photography. The exhibition, divided into two rooms, compares and contrasts their individual styles through a selection of 34 photos on loan from Oslo's Astrup Fearnley Museum.
Part of the movement known as the "Pictures Generation" launched in the mid-1970s, their work appropriated images from mass media and popular culture, offering a social critique of cultural appropriation and transmission.
