The history of this narrow island between Margaret Bridge and Árpád Bridge dates back to the 11th century.
Take a stroll and discover the capital's most beautiful park and some fine buildings such as the Unesco listed water tower, the musical fountain, the open air theatre, St. Michael's church and ruins that are several hundreds of years old (the remains of the cloister inhabited by Marguerite, King Bela IV's daughter, as well as the ruins of two monastic churches).
There is also a beach, a swimming pool, two hotels, various restaurants and snack bars on the island.
