A great city square.

The most spectacular square in the capital extends from the entrance to Bois de Ville (the city wood). Going towards the square from the direction of Avenue Andrássy, visitors can orient themselves by the figure of the archangel Gabriel holding the Holy Crown and the double cross of the apostles, atop the 36 metre high central column (a Millennium monument).

The sumptuous architecture of the Heroes Square is flanked by two impressive buildings - the Hall of the Arts on the right, and the Museum of Fine Art on the left. It's the starting point for a tour in the park, a favourite destination of families at weekends near to the zoo, the capital's circus, the Amusement park, the world famous Pool and Spa Station and Vajdahunyad Castle.
