All year long
The Maison Autrique is a jewel of the Art Nouveau movement, a masterpiece built in 1893 by Victor Horta, one of the leading figures of the movement.
Visit this building and you will find it doubly fascinating. First of all, this was the first townhouse designed by the Belgian architect; and secondly it has recently been entirely renovated and today you can appreciate the eclecticism and play of colours which characterise Horta's work.
Far from the austere atmosphere of a museum, this house is a fun and imaginative place to explore. The long, winding corridors are dreamlike and confusing, while hidden staircases suggest secrets and mysteries and one can almost sense the memories written on the walls of this unique building.
