All year long
The Berlin Wall Trail faithfully follows the path of this former border that symbolised the division of Berlin after the Second World War. This marked trail was created between 2002 and 2006. It enables visitors to follow the entire length of the wall which divided the former GDR and West Berlin. You will see along the way where the checkpoints or border crossing points lay between the West and the East. This 15 kilometre long route is well signposted, and includes information plaques about the construction and fall of the wall, including anecdotes and personal stories. You can follow this well maintained trail on foot or by bike.
