All year long
Potsdamer Platz is a must-see spot during your visit to Berlin.
Between 1993 and 1998 a new, innovative and attractive part of the city emerged from the ground in this area which was destroyed by the Second World War and reduced to a no man's land by the Berlin Wall.
The theatre, casino, Potsdamer Platz Arkade shopping gallery a 22-storey building designed by Renzo Piano which houses Jean Tinguely's sculpture-machine "Meta-Maxi" in its cathedral-sized hall: these all make Potsdamer Platz a monument to contemporary architecture and a temple of leisure and entertainment.
Take a ride in the amazingly fast lift in the Kolhoff tower and catch your breath 100m above ground level where you can admire breath-taking views over the whole city.
