From Saturday, June 27 1998 to Tuesday, December 31 2019
"How Enemies Became Friends" is the permanent exhibition at the Allies’ Museum in Berlin. It traces how military and political relations evolved between West Berlin and France, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The first part of the exhibition covers the years 1945 to 1950, and the period after World War II. The second part tells the history of the nations until 1994, and after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It ends with the withdrawal of forces from the West of the city in 1994.
This exhibition is an extraordinary history lesson on a fundamental period of modern Europe.
