First held in 2008, the Berlin Velothon is now the second largest cycle race of this type in Europe. Around 12,000 amateur and professional cyclists participate. The circuit passes by the most well-known tourist sites of the German capital: the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, Tempelhof Airport and Strasse des 17. Juni. Two races have been organised: a 60-km circuit for beginners and amateurs and a 120-km circuit for more experienced riders. There is also a velothon for children aged 6 to 12.
A great opportunity to discover Berlin by bike, or to cheer on the riders as they pass.
