The temple of the golden mountain.

Wat Saket, also known as "Golden Mount" or "Phu Kao Tong" is located on a small hill topped with a gold chedi reaching to a height of 58m. This houses relics of Buddha. At its feet, you will find an unusual cemetery, covered with trees and vines. To reach the chedi, you must climb the 300 steps which snake up the side of the hill to the summit. Once you are at the top of Wat Saket, you can admire the wall of bells, and, beyond it, a breathtaking view over the city. In the traditional manner, the temple is surrounded by a tree, chapel, ordination room and a library.
Every year in November, during the festival of Loy Krathong, Wat Saket is the setting for a large fair and a holy pilgrimage.
