On the royal barges.

On the bank of one of the numerous canals in Bangkok, called "klong", this unusual museums exhibits beautiful collections. It promotes a Thai cultural heritage that dates back to the 13th century, royal processions. You will discover many royal barges which transported the greatest Thai kings. Some are over 40 metres long and require dozens of rowers. All have grandiose figureheads, richly decorated with dragons' heads in some cases and painted in bright colours. Visiting this museum is an original way of discovering the rich cultural history of the country.
