The Vimanmek Mansion is a magnificent testimony to traditional Thai architecture adapted to a European style.
Its interior mixes various styles and European furniture alongside Chinese paintings and Thai artefacts. The huge building contains 81 pieces that expose all the pomp of the royal family of Thailand.
Built in the nineteenth century it was the favourite residence of King before becoming a museum where visitors can admire the Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall, built during the reign of King Rama V. This hall has an impressive collection of woven Thai silk.
