Met with royal approval…

Dusit Palace refers to the entire complex in which the royal residential quarters are to be found. Built between 1897 and 1901, these constructions have a distinct European style.

The site was baptised Dusit Garden by king Rama V, before being named Dusit Palace during the reign of Rama VI. The majestic Vimanmek Palace, which is located within the Dusit Palace complex, was built in 1900 on the island of Ko Sichang before being relocated to Bangkok. The Dusit Palace is a complex made up of 16 buildings, reflecting the opulence of the Thai royal courts.
