Rooftop Bars in Saigon

Ho Chi Minh City Bars for Cocktails with a View

Looking skywards for bars to sip your favourite cocktail? We share the five of the best rooftop bars in Ho Chi Minh City.

Aperol Spritz

Saigon’s ever-expanding array of rooftop bars can compete with any Asian city when it comes to variety and choice. Unwind in style and feel on top of the world in some of the best rooftop bars in Ho Chi Minh City.

1. Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar

Having first opened its doors in 1959, Saigon Saigon is a cultural and historical icon where rooftop bars are concerned - it was a haven for journalists covering the Vietnam War in the 1960s.
Sample your own serving of rooftop bar history by journeying up to the ninth floor of the Caravelle Saigon. Here you’ll find wood furnishings, a chequered black and white marble floor, fairy lights and a Latino-style band for an ambiance that harks back to the bar’s humble ‘50s origins. We recommend starting your evening out in Ho Chi Minh City here to take advantage of the daily happy hour offers.

2. Rex Hotel Rooftop Bar

Rex Hotel Rooftop Bar has recently become something of a rite of passage for those new to Saigon. Sure, it may only be five storeys up, but the bar offers a supreme experience despite being one of the lowest Saigon rooftop bars on our list  thanks to great views of some of the city’s best old-world buildings such as the People’s Committee Hall and Saigon Opera House.
Two of Saigon’s most iconic buildings and a 20-percent discount on alcohol purchased between 5pm and 7pm: the perfect excuse for an early start to your evening!

3. The View Rooftop Bar

As its name suggests, this rooftop bar in Saigon comes with a view that is even more impressive than its set-up. Split into two expansive main sections, the View Rooftop Bar incorporates a full-blown treehouse dance floor, extensive seating and gorgeous 360-degree views of Saigon’s cityscape and skyscrapers. Coupled with excellent service and competitive prices, it’s no surprise that guests keep coming back for more.

4. EON Heli Bar

Formerly known as Alto, EON Heli Bar occupies the 52nd floor of the Bitexco Financial Tower and as such, has the accolade of being the highest bar in Ho Chi Minh City.
Once the sun sets, expect a relaxed atmosphere as you are serenaded by live bands and acoustic sets. If you prefer a more uptempo beat, that comes later in the evening and extends well into the night, courtesy of EON’s in-house and visiting DJs.

5. Breeze Sky Bar

Perched atop the historic Hotel Majestic Saigon, the Breeze Sky Bar is one of the oldest bars in Saigon. The French-influenced bar has been selling first-rate cocktails served with spectacular views of the Saigon river since 1925, and as such, offers a tantalising glimpse of Vietnam’s colonial past and more importantly, features a drinks menu without compare in the city! Avoid the crowds by arriving early and enjoy a cocktail or two from the extensive drinks menu while chilling out in refined tranquility.
