Need a quick time-out from the hustle and bustle of Downtown LA? Immerse yourself in flora, nature and serenity at this tiny urban oasis in Little Tokyo. The peaceful garden, dubbed "Garden of the Clear Stream," can be reached via the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Just a 15-minute drive from Sofitel Los Angeles, this sprawling cemetery is the final resting place of many a Hollywood legend, such as Rudolph Valentino. Look out for regular community events and outdoor movie screenings.

The iconic sign atop Mount Lee has made onscreen appearances in everything from Argo to Alvin and the Chipmunks. The best spots to see the landmark are from the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Hollywood, or from the Griffith Observatory, where parking is free.
Dodgers Stadium

Dodgers Stadium

If you're in Los Angeles, you'll want to catch a Dodgers games at the 3rd-oldest stadium in Major League Baseball. The 56,000-seat ballpark, by far the largest in the majors, has hosted 8 World Series. It's also home of the Dodger Dog, a 10-inch frankfurter named for its franchise. If you can't catch a game, 90-minute tours are also offered, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the field, dugout and Vin Scully Press Box.
Runyon Canyon

Runyon Canyon

Slip on a pair of sneakers and hit the Runyon Canyon Loop. The 3-mile hike allows for great people-watching, plus it's one of the best places in LA to spot celebrities. Amanda Seyfried, Charlize Theron and Channing Tatum have all been spotted making the 30-minute hike to the top. Be sure to bring a camera to immortalize the stunning views from Cloud's Rest at the summit.
