unbearable noise resulting in changing rooms twice past midnight!

We were travelling by car from Brittany to Paris. Since the road is long for my pregnant wife, we wanted to stop in the middle of the trip and get a nice hotel to have a good night’s sleep before travelling the rest of the road the day after. Little did we know we were even more tired staying in this hotel than doing the trip all at once! We started to hear a snoring noise from our room around midnight, tried to ignore it but couldn’t as it felt like this person was so close to us especially after we turned off the TV and got ready to sleep, it was just not possible for us to fall asleep. We talked to the reception staff on duty, he moved us to another room from the same floor and assured us that the rooms next to us were not occupied. Ok we took the room and fell sleep around 1am Around 5am something, we were woken up again by a loud snoring noise and this time it was even so much louder than the first room, it was as if that person was sleeping right next to us!! I called the reception staff up and he also acknowledged the noise was so loud and we even heard it so clear in the corridor!!! He then moved us up to another floor and by the time we moved everything and started falling asleep it was close to 6am!!! What a night! We are extremely disappointed at the insulation of this hotel and definitely won’t be staying again.

My experience at IBIS STYLES LAVAL was a great one! The staff was very friendly and helpful and I could not thank enough the maids for all their hard work and help. It was okay but the rooms are disappointing: too cold, dusty which flared up my allergies, no paper tissues, no water boiler in the room. The breakfast is fine (not many choices), but the service is good.
