Too many problems, expensive food particularly breakfast. The whole hotel needs up dating and decorating.

My 6 night stay was not good. Room ok but... pillows too hard, safe not working, no telephone, air conditioning worked but stuck at 18 degrees, extortionate charge for room service. Food very expensive and no snack alternatives, No continental breakfast rate and NO coffee available other than nescafe for the 6 days I stayed (totally unacceptable) Staff did their best in difficult circumstanses

I thought the hotel was OK for what I paid. It is generally a bit run down but OK. The food in the restaurant was excellent but the wine was over priced at £30 a bottle. The waiting staff were excellent. Breakfast for fairly average.

Lovely atmosphere, good parking our only criticism is that our room was a little dated but as my understanding is that the hotel will undergo refurbishment. We had a good today there regardless.

I had booked the hotel on the Accor website, which was advertised as a new acquisition and 'now open' with pictures to resemble a newly refurbished or even new build hotel. I made the booking using my points to pay and everything went through fine. On arrival, we were absolutely appalled to see a drab, dated hotel, in dire need of refurbishment. The receptionist informed us that it was not yet an Accor hotel and apologised, but said that we would need to settle our bill, as the points were not applicable. She explained that this is happening a lot! Our room was awful - very dated and the window would not secure (we were in the ground floor). It was so bad, we locked our valuables in our car! We had driven 4 hours to this hotel, so that we could attend a wedding - the whole experience ruined what was supposed to be a lovely weekend away. As a Platinum member of Accor, spending in the region of £1500 per month with the group, I am frankly disgusted by this whole experience and would certainly welcome an explanation and more!

Rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem. Accor acquired our property in March and we are having issues with online details, although this is in hand. We are currently awaiting a full refurbishment, as we are aware the hotel requires attention. This will undoubtedly improve the hotel immensely. In regards to the receptionist, I can only apologise. This is a training issue, which I have now discussed with the front office manager to ensure this does not occur again. I kindly ask you to give me a call at your earliest convenience, so that I can process a refund of £50.25, which will be issued to your account as soon as I have the details. I would like to reiterate our commitment to high quality standards, and I personally would like to make sure you will experience it during your next stay with us. Sincerely, Nikki

I have stayed here last weekend as there was an event near by.as Accor staff I cancelled standard airport thinking this would have been better in terms of facilities for the cheaper price but it wasnt as steam room and jacuzzi were Not working and just covered up.safe not working why can’t you just take it off? I was chatting with a nice lady in the morning on bfk and explained me that Accor just took over and refurbishment would be starting soon. This still doesn’t excuse few things which the hotel must rectify ASAP. Recognition of the Accor members (arrival ,vip etc) Corridor check (why this can be done at the beginning of the evening shift and not the end) Poor cleaning standard of the pool(lime scale and ants in the changing room ) surely you can spare an housekeeping. Room service5£ for a tray charge but where is the menu??? I have to come and down and get it??? Bar prices ??? Pink gin which has low alcohol more expensive than Hendricks who does the GP ???wine prices same as in London when you still got the pool and the betting machines.how do you expect to attract customers ?? There is a lot of work which needs to be done trough Accor standards but 40 pounds a night it still not a good value for the lack of points which I have explained above

My stay at the Harlow Hotelwent well from the time we booked in till the day we booked out. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help you. However the other couple did complain about noisey neighbours which did not help with there sleep. I have one negative to report and that is the carpets in our room we’re of a poor standard with stains all over them.

The hotel and room was satisfactory... we had a few issues with room service - it took two days and for us to say something before our room was cleaned - even though we left the sign on the door to ask for it to be cleaned. The service was ok. We did enjoy the breakfast and the ladies on breakfast. The gym was a let down - steam room and jacuzzi both not working - extremely dissatisfied!!

Soulless, tired & very overpriced for what it is.

Building and decor are tired. Located in an area where there is nothing, shops or pub/ restaurant, within walking distance. Drinks were very expensive for a bar with a pool table, kids playing noisily, and not consistent with £9.00 charged for a glass of wine. I was the only guest for an evening meal in a the large restaurant but it took a long time for a mediocre meal to arrive. In the morning going to breakfast I asked for a Sunday paper but was informed they don’t have any. Again not what you would expect for a £100 plus room rate. Overpriced in all respects and not to be recommended.

I really like the hotel. I think it’s one of the best hotel in England. The person who made the trip splendid was a lady called Kelly. She was so nice to the extent that she helped me warm my food, wash the plate and even gave me and my niece good water to drink. I think she’s the best hotel staff I have ever met. The restaurant was so clean too. I will recommend there again and again.

The "(Now Open)" suffix to the hotel name led me to believe that it had reopened after refurbishment, which is obviously not the case so this is misleading. The photograph of the hotel entrance on your website (as I write) is of another hotel, as are the room and bathroom photos, which show a pleasant looking apparently new bathroom. This is totally misleading and possibly in contravention of trades description legislation. The hotel is generally dilapidated and tired looking, the bar area is quite unpleasant, we went elsewhere for supper. The room was generally tatty and had only one out of four reading lights working. The bathroom was a disgrace, the basin was severely cracked, as were some of the floor tiles and the bath panel had a cracked segment. I have photographs of these defects. This is nowhere near the standard that we have come to expect from Accor hotels in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. We were not offered our usual welcome drink either. Breakfast was fine, although not quite up to the normal Accor standard regarding choice. The staff were pleasant and friendly, no complaints whatsoever in that regard, some of them were clearly looking forward to being part of a better experience! Your manager apologised for the state of our room and explained the circumstances, we wish him luck in the forthcoming improvements. Fortunately the bed was very comfortable so we did get a good night's sleep However... Your presentation of the hotel online is totally misleading, the reality is not as advertised and will not be for sometime to come. I look to Accor hotels for a reliable product, for instance, your current generation of new build and refurbished Ibis hotels are consistently friendly, comfortable and pleasant places to stay. This was a very disappointing experience, fortunately we were en route to another destination so only there for one night.
