We spent six glorious nights at this exceptional hotel and every staff member we encountered during our stay has been friendly and professional. Special mention goes to Sofea, our hostess at the Club Lounge and Amm Abdul Wahab, Concierge Manager, who was exceptional in providing the right advice to surrounding locations and always interested in ensuring our stay be a memorable one. We will be back!

The only positive things I can say about this hotel is its location and comfortable bed. This hotel managed by a big brand name fell short in so many ways. When I checked in at 3.15pm, I was told by Adam that the room is not ready. When I asked isn't the check in time at 3pm, he said yes but the room I booked is just not ready. So I asked what time will the room be ready, and suddenly they have a room available that's ready! So naturally I asked if it is the same room type I booked, and he looked annoyed and impatient while replying "yes yes, same!". Not a good start. Adam also did not mention anything about how to connect to the WiFi, nor buffet breakfast times and location. After passing me my room key, I had to ask if my room included breakfast (which I paid for inclusively), and he just said it's included (again without mentioning the times and location). Is this the kind of service I should expect from a "Banyan Tree-managed hotel"? I certainly did not feel welcomed at all. However, check out service was much better by another female employee. The room was generally clean but the bathtub was poorly maintained with cracks and what looked like rust at one particular spot. Paid for a room with bathtub but did not manage to utilise it. I made an earlier dinner buffet reservation for 7 adults for 6pm at The Courtyard but had to amend it later to 6 adults for 6.30pm due to the weather. But because my party arrived earlier than expected, we made our way to the restaurant at 6.10pm only to be told by the employee that we are not allowed in until 6.30pm. But why? If you allow reservations for 6pm, your buffet starts then, no? So we had to sit outside until we were "allowed" in. To say this is the worst "seafood" buffet dinner I've had in Malaysia is an understatement. "Oceanic Delights Seafood" buffet without crab (not even the most basic flower crab) on a Saturday evening. Sure, freshly-shucked oysters were provided, only if they have someone at the station actually shucking the oysters - at the most, they have maybe 6-8 prepared, and then nobody mans the station for AT LEAST 15 minutes before somebody actually comes back to slowly shuck one by one again (till there's a few pieces before the staff vanishes again). It also takes forever to have other food replenished, and this is only at the start of the buffet, say around 7-ish/8pm. The kitchen seems to be severely understaffed as even the "claypot assam" station outdoor was constantly unmanned, and what few staff were there, were only focused on preparing ala carte dishes rather than the buffet stations. Grilled "seafood" station? Only prawns, fish and clams available. So yes, seafood buffet you call this? Also, if the fruits are not in season, maybe don't order them and have them as part of the buffet spread. First, there were mangosteen that were all spoilt and horrible-tasting. When we raised this to the manager, we were told a big box of them "freshly arrived this morning". They may have "freshly arrived" but they were certainly not fresh! And it was further proven because the mangosteen were taken off the buffet spread after our feedback, only to be replaced with longans which were just as bad and sour! The breakfast buffet spread seemed to be better than the buffet dinner, but still fell short in replenishing the food in time. Due to the service during check in and buffet dinner experience falling short of what should be expected of a 5-star hotel managed by a big brand, I will not be returning to this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Pavilion. The hotel is ideally located, right next to the shopping mall but also very easy to reach. We were able to reach all the sights quickly and easily by GRAB or on foot. The rooms are very inviting and generously furnished. We had a Grand Oasis and Oasis in the City room, both with beautiful views. The breakfast with a large selection and the possibility to sit inside or outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We would book and recommend the Pavilion Hotel managed by Banyan Tree again anytime.

I really enjoyed my time at the Pavillion Hotel KL Club Lounge! Simply love the yummy-licious food prepared by Chef Daniah (♥️) and perfect ambiance! I had repeated servings 🤫🤫 of everything at the lounge 🤣. Great thanks to Chef Daniah for the fantastic spread… will definitely see you again real soon!

The hotel has a great location, very convenient for access to the Pavillion shopping mall. The rooms are a bit tired and the AC is quite noisy. The breakfast had a vast choice of food. Captain Raaj and the concierge team were super helpful and went out of their way to help me book transport. A big thank you to them!
