The location is beautiful and what a English country side should be. The grounds and the hotel itself is very beautiful and the day we arrived there were 3 weddings. The location is only good if you have a car and the rooms are big and facilities etc very comfortable. The staff are friendly and breakfast is well attended and good spread of English Breakfast. There is nothing to complain about on this facility. The only complain I have is that through out Italy, Austria, Swiss and UK we stayed with Mercure and IBIS and each recognized the loyalty program customers. Each had a welcome letter and also a welcome drink. This was the only hotel that did not provide a welcome drink. In other Accor hotels, even the IBIS hotels made the effort of providing extra welcoming snacks on top of welcoming drinks and letter. This hotel does not recognize platinum members. The Accor Loyalty program is not really active world wide and inconsistent from country to country

My wife and I have twice stayed at this hotel and have been very happy on both occasions. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was very good and reasonably priced overall both stays were very pleasant.

Noisiest fire doors I have ever heard! Couldn't sleep.

Everything was okay until trying to sleep. The fire doors constantly slam shut (louder than any others I have heard at other hotels) and being a Saturday night it went on until quite late/early in the morning!

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this Hotel and on each occasion we were very pleased. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable and parking was very easy.

The hotel is nice enough. The food is really good. They were understaffed when I stayed and I had to wait at the bar each time I wanted a drink. The staff that were there are running around trying their best to serve everyone. Needed another person

I have stayed at this hotel several times. and it has always been a great experience. however this time with the events that were occurring at the weekend I have been left complete underwhelmed. at check in we should of been made aware of the two events at the weekend. to allow us to make alternative dining arrangements. as you are not in a walkable area to any alternative venues this was imperative. sadly I will not be returning again.

Hotel, rooms and service was of good quality only let down by events on both nights I had not been made aware of until arrival.

I was more than satisfied with the quality of the hotel and the rooms were of good standard. All staff were pleasant and efficient. The big negative for me was that there were events on in the restaurant on both nights of my stay (A Concert on the first night and then a Christening event on the second night) neither of which we had not been made of until arrival. Making the hotel very noisy for several hours both nights and my room was right behind the events area. We went out to eat on the 1st night and then ate at the back of the bar on the 2nd night (food was OK but a little disappointing). Overall I would say this is a good hotel with decent staff but it would have been better if we had been advised well in advance of arriving that these events were taking place.

Staff were exceptional. The hotel setting was beautiful. The hotel and rooms were spotless. The beds were massive but...uncomfortable, could feel the springs. Pillows were less then useless.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent- really tasty and plentiful. The same could be said of the breakfast- a good range of choices and all fresh.

Room was very clean and staff very helpful - nothing was an issue - the only down side was the function as the room is open to the bar so nowhere quiet to sit in the bar

You very much pointed key issues including varierty of breakfast options and function in the in the restaurant in your survery. We do on occasions have weddings and parties in our restaurant so in many cases we set up a separate and quiet area in our conference rooms where guests can have an uninterrupted bar service as and when they wish. Much as the busy nature of the bar is on such occasions, functions always do end at 11.30pm so in house guests could have their quiet time. Everything was good but unfortunately when ordering drinks my vodka and diet cola arrived with lime which ruined the drink (I think the bar staff should ask if lime ice etc is wanted) and I had to ask for a fresh glass as my drink was in a glass with lipstick on and I do not wear lipstick but apart from that a very good experience including the choices at breakfast.
