From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent- really tasty and plentiful. The same could be said of the breakfast- a good range of choices and all fresh.

Room was very clean and staff very helpful - nothing was an issue - the only down side was the function as the room is open to the bar so nowhere quiet to sit in the bar

You very much pointed key issues including varierty of breakfast options and function in the in the restaurant in your survery. We do on occasions have weddings and parties in our restaurant so in many cases we set up a separate and quiet area in our conference rooms where guests can have an uninterrupted bar service as and when they wish. Much as the busy nature of the bar is on such occasions, functions always do end at 11.30pm so in house guests could have their quiet time. Everything was good but unfortunately when ordering drinks my vodka and diet cola arrived with lime which ruined the drink (I think the bar staff should ask if lime ice etc is wanted) and I had to ask for a fresh glass as my drink was in a glass with lipstick on and I do not wear lipstick but apart from that a very good experience including the choices at breakfast.

Small but functional room. Comfortable bed and good blackout curtains. Modern bathroom which put style over function, ie limited shelf / hanging space and the rounded toilet lid meant anything put on it would slid to the floor. Very high step into the bath/shower with no handrails to support entrance/exit.

We arrived and check-in was friendly, prompt and trouble-free. The room was clean, spacious and pleasant with everything working fine. Our only comment/complaint was we did find the pillows somewhat hard and the bar area, although very pleasant had the air-conditioning on which we felt was totally unnecessary on this particular evening, it made it feel very chilly so we did not dwell long and took our drinks back to our room. The breakfast was very nice apart from the fact that as, in any self-service restaurant, you need to be lucky when you go up for the food. They hot choice I chose was tepid and the hashbrown just a crisp.Perhaps put less food out at a time and replenish more frequently.The other comment I would pass is, I did look online to book but then rang the hotel and the price was better than the online price.

The cost was very reasonable and we thought it would be more a cheap end hotel. So we were very surprised at the quality of everything. Our room and bathroom were large. We could even open the windows and there was a lovely view across a field of wheat. Despite the location just off the A4 our room was quiet and the hotel is very convenient for Thatcham railway station. So thank you for a great stay.

This hotel is worth everone one of it's four and a half stars....from the staff at reception through to the ladies that clean the rooms..... professional, friendly and courteous. Thank you.... Our room was very comfortable, clean and large for a hotel room. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great. Our lunch was delicious and so was breakfast....Highly recommnend this hotel.

The hotel was clean and friendly. It was a particularly hot day, so air conditioning would have been welcomed as the fan in the room didn't really do anything. But however we had a nice experience.
