We are regulars at the Johnson. We noticed that some aspects are getting a bit tired and showing wear and tear. We were disappointed with the allocation of a room beside the lift shaft for a 5 night stay and requested a move . The next room was smaller than our original room. Staff are always helpful .

The apartment was very spacious and well laid out. Having 2 bathrooms was the best!!! The main bed was lovely and large and very comfortable. The pool was awesome. Unfortunately our booking was Ickes up and we didn’t get a rollaway bed till our 3rd night so someone had to sleep on the couch which wasn’t that comfortable but we did appreciate getting some breakfast vouchers. A sofa bed in the apartment would have been perfect.

The hotel foyer was impressive, but when we were allocated a room downstairs on Level 2 - I thought it was a bit strange. The room itself was totally lovely - however we were totally unimpressed with a view of the carpark and carpark entry gates. Not only was the view terrible - some plant screening would soften this aspect - there was absolutely no privacy to our room without pulling the heavy curtains. Even a sheer curtain would have helped?

I was so sad we only had 1 short night at the Johnson but I would choose to stay here again in a heart beat. Byredo bathroom amenities were wonderful, the FOH service was incredible going above and beyond. The restaurant service is fantastic with a great diverse menu. Loved the feeling. My colleague recently got an upgrade and has raved about the experience and hotel throughout the office. As a whole, Laminex will look to stay here in Brisbane :) Thanks again to everyone!

Very misleading to say having balcony but in fact it is facing back lane. Moreover the package offers late checkout but it just allowed to be 12:00 due to it is Sunday. Honestly if it states clearly, definitely i would not book it.

The hotel itself is beautiful, my only feedback is about the toilet. It’s in its own cubicle in the bathroom but faces the wall instead of the door, so to actually sit on the toilet was quite awkward. If I had have been overweight, old or somewhat disabled I believe it would almost be too difficult to sit on the toilet. It’s really poor design that I would suggest changing it.

From the outset, the staff were attentive, and the room (sub-penthouse) was spacious and with a great view. Beds were comfortable, and the private lift made everything easy. The only downsides were there was no way to play any music (no speakers, bluetooth TV speaker connections etc). Also, the listing boasts a table that seats 8; however, there was only crockery and cutlery for six, with very few - an awkward dinner party! Notwithstanding, a great experience

I booked through your website and got three nasty surprises on checking out: - the bill - I thought I’d paid in advance when booking online. - tax added to my bill on top of the advertised online price. - attempted mini-bar charges - I drank beer in my room that I had bought externally, and even though it wasn’t a brand you stock, your staff still tried to charge me. On top of this: - the mattress on our bed was very poor, it had a big hollow in it leaving one side higher than the other. - the water pressure in the shower was shocking, it was much better the last time I stayed, as were the toiletries. - my pool towel was dirty. - do you only have rooms located below the pool or do you only have more expensive rooms on higher levels? In short, since Mantra took over, standards have dropped and corners seem to be being cut in order to reduce costs.
