If the young girls were sent to the wrong room as I was, it could have been disastrous as there was an angry man to greet me! Maddie sent me to 5305 instead of 5405!

Waiting for over 20 minutes for the lift became a real issue in the end. We didn’t come and go or use the facilities as much as we would have liked. My elderly Father in Law couldn’t manage the stairs.

Second time staying at this Hotel in a two bedroom apartment, Location is great for families also the rooms and amenities are well suited to a family. All encounters with Hotel Staff were pleasant and professional. Only negatives to the experience were the apartment above was very busy with foot traffic and music at times that could be clearly heard in our apartment, Also the main living/lounge area did not have block out curtains which meant at 5am the whole apartment was filled with daylight. We will be back to stay again and would like to experience a sub penthouse/ Penthouse room on our next visit. Regards Ryan D. 04…

We had a wonderful get away. We loved the resort (what a perfect location) the 2bed ocean view apartment was amazing from the décor to the view. The staff were all amazing from reception to housekeeping & the gentleman who gave us towels at the pool even staff we rode the lift with so friendly. I loved the yoga in the secret garden what a wonderful surprise; got me even more relaxed. The pools, gardens décor, staff, location, views just amazing. Exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back; thank-you!

We will be back for sure - the staff were lovely in all departments - maintenance, check-in, concierge, housekeeping, bar-staff. This reflects good management higher up the chain! Beautiful rooms. Well stocked kitchen. Unfortunately several lifts were out of service due to a flooding incident, which made for very slow transitions getting in and out of the building and very squishy rides with people loaded up. We would also have preferred not to be squished in an elevator with housekeeping all the time - when your on holiday you don't really want to be squished into a lift with staff who have buckets, mops and dirty laundry, and listening to them talk about 'how many more they've got to clean' and 'how hard they've worked today'. A service lift should be in a building of this size. It did actually seem like house-keeping were actually run off their feet - and they never got to our room before 4pm - which never worked out for us because we were always back in the room by then and needed our room. But all in all a very high quality hotel and would recommend it.

Hi, it wasnt very enjoyable. The elevator situation is a nightmare. It took 35 minutes to get a lift both mornings. The cleaners should not be allowed to clog the lifts like they are doing.. they should use the stairs but instead of this all of your paying guests end up walking the stair case.

Our apartment was spacious and wonderfully decorated. Beds were extremely comfortable and the view was magnificent. We treated ourselves to breakfast on our last day and we were very happy with the range of food available. This is our second time staying at Peppers Surfers Paradise and we were extremely happy as we were on our first stay. Our only slight discomfort was the lift waiting time. This of course was due to one lift being out of service, due to an unfortunate sprinkler system problem. As a suggestion, it would have been lovely if we were informed about the problem before arrival and maybe, if there were apartments available on higher floors that had the three other lifts working, we could have been offered one of those. But of course being school holidays it is totally understandable that this suggestion may not have been an option. Despite this little hiccup, we thank you for the stay that we all thoroughly enjoyed.

When we arrived at 10pm, we couldn't get into the building even after ringing the intercom how many times - there was no answer. I had to Google Peppers to get a phone number. Peppers central reservations answered. They then rang hotel reception and got someone to come down to open the door. Very poor first impression. The whole lift situation spoilt our whole impression of the hotel. Due to a roof collapse, only 2 lifts were working and the resulting wait times were ridiculous. Also the number of times the lifts would stop at how many floors for no reason, wasting more time.

would have thought a 3 bedroom appt that sleeps 6 would have had enough seating in lounge area ,so not have to sit at kitchen table . Not up to standard.

Overall was good, very dissapointed the lifts were out of action and werent fully operational 7 days later, made it very difficult to get around, I know it was a burst pipe ect but 7 days is not good enough, as we payed $3500, and there was talk of compensation but never eventuated, Breakfast one morning for free would have been great, All the staff were great except the girl on check out didnt even ask how our stay was or how we were nothing, very dissapointed. The room i thought could have been a little better especially the seating, just not up to standard for 6 people. overall the soul experience was good but could have been better, Regards Adam T.

Pathetic experience the lifts were not working properly. Staff at reception didn't informed at check-in the checkout times at time of departure. One night before when asked the check out time they mentioned its 10am next morning and without being flexible. Such a terrible service and will never recommend others to stay at this hotel. Without acknowledging there mistake all they had with a rude tone that the client should had seen themselves. We have stayed all hotels around the world and never experienced such a bad service at reception. The staff at reception needs to be educated and be flexible.

Apartment & staff were fantastic but the lifts became a significant disappointment...very, very long waits!

We really loved the apartment. It was very comfortable and above what we expected. A fantastic place to stay and amazing views of Surfers Beach. The staff were friendly and assisted us as required. However, we experienced very, very lengthy waits to use the lifts. One of the three lifts was out-of-service but I'm not convinced that this just didn't make an existing problem worse. By the end of the stay we were frustrated and over the impatience and rudeness being displayed by other guests. This did negatively impact on our stay and unfortunately, I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again.

The wait for lifts was 30-40 mins. We dreaded going down more than once. Forced ourself to stay out so we didn’t have to go up and down. Very inconvenient when we could do things at our own time, we became bound by the situation. The reception staff knew of the issue and were not at all understanding. Rather than showing some empathy for the people stuck on floors they in turn said there is nothing we can do. That’s not the answer you are waiting to hear from the other side. I think at that point we said to ourselves that we must tell friends and family to be aware of this issue before deciding on peppers. Not the best stay , will return to Gold Coast but not peppers. Till there is improvement.

Broken elevators with water pouring down the shafts. Was there a fire? Who knows- no communication for at least an hour- can’t get out or in. Nobody answered the phone

Peppers Soul is in a great location and the apartment was good but unfortunately a lift was not working whilst we were there. The floor we were on had been flooded and had blowers trying to dry it out and perfume trying to disguise the smell caused by the broken water line. The lifts made moving up and down with four kids extremely difficult for the entire time we were there. We used the fire escape continually while we were there because the lifts we that full of people it made it ridiculous to continually wait. On our last day we were so sick of waiting for a lift that we ended up taking the fire exit with ALL our luggage. We also waited an hour for room service to deliver breakfast due to this problem. We weren’t even offered a discount for the inconvenience. Although it was a great spot we were disappointed considering the price paid for the apartment.
