My stay was good, was for 2 nights. The hotel and the room were very clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and helpful. There was a no fuss check in and out which was great. Only thing I was dissatisfied with that I had a balcony room and was told I wasn’t able to smoke out on that and had to go downstairs outside the building. That’s not ideal when you are on your own and it’s late at night

The rooms were clean and cosy; bed comfortable; tv and AC in working condition. Check-in and check-out straight forward. I was generally satisfied with the service.

Only stayed one night so difficult to analyse too much. The location was good, except not much open around there on weekends. The service at front desk was good. The room was small, limited amenities.

We found the staff very friendly & helpful & the was excellent. Only one small complaint not been able to get something to eat after arriving .

Regarding O Bar & Restaurant, this is an outsourced operation and not operated directly by Mantra however should guests require Food and Beverage services during periods of closure we do offer a chargeback arrangement through the nearby Novotel which is 24 hours. The hotel and staff were excellent, no issues there. However, upon checking-out, I had asked for a tax invoice and the manager stated that it was automated and would be sent shortly. When the receipt arrived in my inbox, the format is 'un-openable' in sense of the file's format; it is not .docx, .txt, .xls, or .pdf. In fact, the 'format' is one I cannot figure out how to open it, view the information, and submit my expense claim. As I mentioned before, the overall experience was great with the hotel and staff, but this one little thing is a major inconvenience and I cannot fathom why Mantra would send out such an important piece of travelers information is such a vague and non-standard format.

Regarding the invoice, I am sorry that what you received was not the required format you were after. As you booked and paid through our Central Reservations team and not directly at the hotel unfortunately the Tax Invoice comes from Central Reservations as this is a separate business unit hence why it is emailed later on the day of departure. I have emailed them to ask for a copy of your invoice and shall forward on to you once received if you have not already received another copy. As I have no influence over the format that the invoice is sent out in I have however shared your feedback with the Central Reservations Manager so that they can make any changes that need to occur from their side. Apparently been upgraded to a premium room but didn’t seem any different to any other stay except only 3 pillows & one unstable chair on the balcony!

Very clean and spaacios room The only criticism that I may have is the shower pressure but I know that can be difficult to please everyone in multi storey hotel. Everything else was great will rerun again one day.

I was asked to pay a $100 deposit at the reception even though I had paid the full cost prior checking in. It’s been a week and I have still not received my deposit!

Dear Sawmmya, Thanks for sharing your feedback and glad to see that overall your stay was positive and that you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry to read that the release of your security deposit is what has let you down. Regarding the preauthorization that was taken, although a preauthorization is a non-value transaction it can take between 2 days and anywhere up to 14 days to release back depending on the financial institution of the cardholder. Each bank has a differing policy of pre-auth release times and the hotel does not have any control on when the pre authorization is released as this is controlled solely by your bank and your bank alone. We can certainly try to help facilitate a quicker release for you by faxing a letter off to your bank asking them to release the hold. Do let us know if you would like us to action this for you if it has not yet released. I can also confirm that this information is displayed in the guest policies section of Agoda as we ensure that this sort of information is open and transparent across all websites we market ourselves in.
