Excellent location. Great newly refurbished rooms, clean and well maintained. would definitely stay again. The reception rarely had someone there. Had to call through night phone to be checked in and out.

Where do I start. Could not find reception finally found a hole in the wall with a door. Very poor service. Had an elderly person walking up steps and ramp from garage, so drove on to street level. Very inconvenient No service to help with baggage, a baggage lift which was a joke. I was willing to pay the cost, but when I got there I was very sadly disappointed. I would not, nor will I ever stay at a Mantra hotel again. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE. I have had a better reception at a dog kennel!!!!

Hotel is surrounded by 3 pubs that close at 2am. Garbage truck parks out the front for 15 minutes plus most mornings around 6am

It was a little confusing to start with as the entrance is open and we waited for someone but it wasn’t until we went back outside to find signage that if there was no one there use the phone outside, then was all fine. Our room and everything else was fantastic, we loved it

Very happy with apartment, which was very clean and well set up with pleasant outlook over trees. However, as we were on second floor it would have been even better if building had a guest lift. We saw another guest on same floor who was using a walking stick, so access to second floor level would have been quite difficult for them. Perhaps the luggage lift could be upgraded in the future to a passenger lift if heritage restrictions allow for this type of renovation. For improved security it would also be good if room access could be upgraded to a swipe card rather than a key. Likewise, great if in-room safes were changed to code rather than having to obtain a key from reception, which is unmanned overnight from 4:00 pm.

Originally we were put on the second floor, which required us to walk up a lot of stairs several times a day, so we asked to move and went to the first floor. The first apartment as well had a view looking at trees......no real view over Macrossan Street, even though I had rung 2 weeks prior to coming to ask if we could please have a decent room and view.

We stayed in the one bedroom suite which was very dated. The photos on the booking page showed a very different (much more modern) suite. Unfortunately the photos on the booking site did not match what we got at all. But the worst of all was the fact that the suite was dirty, I found nails on the floor, hair in the bath and nails sticking out at the balcony (we had a two year old walking on the balcony barefoot when I noticed that). Also the clothes rack was rusty and impossible to use.

Pleasant staff, cleanly presented room, although a little out dated, good size room. Suggest freshening up decor to feel like you are staying in a tropical getaway, fresh paint change all shutters to white and add some on door plants, also freshen up blankets and pillows on bed.

Enjoyed the facilities, the pool was lovely. Only complaint really was I'm asthmatic & cigarette smoke seemed to come into the room, so leaving the balcony door open wasn't really an option. We couldn't get the WiFi code to work properly.

We have stayed at Mantra on The Inlet a few times. We love the location and enjoy the walk to the 4 Mile beach each day. Lots of eateries close by and a short walk to the huge supermarket...easy to pick up something for dinner anytime and relax on the balcony and watch the sunset.

My husband & I wanted to stay in a motel that was central to everything that Port Douglas has to offer. We found the staff very friendly and our room was well equipped with everything that we needed for our 3 night stay. We loved being able to walk to everything & found our stay was very relaxing. We especially loved the spa & sitting out on our deck.
