1. The car park could not accommodate my car that is a normal Hilux. The height was an issue. 2. We slept in Room 14 besides a room where you could hear the hole time people washing plates or something. The noise was just unbearable.

good location, didn't like the short hours for reception. room next to me and mine were connected by a door with gap, I could hear everything in their room. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom and kitchen amenities.

Location is perfect. Room was very spacious and clean but a bit dated. Noise from the shops below was annoying. For older people the spa was almost impossible to get in and out of. A light fell out of the ceiling in the bathroom and was reported but not fixed. There was also a light floating in the pool connected to wires. I would be very concerned about children in the pool as there are quite a few broken glass tiles and very sharp edges of concrete on the steps.I found it unusual that it was very hard to find anyone in reception and that after 4 pm is considered after hours. Having said that, the location allows you to walk to just about anywhere you would need to go in Port Douglas. I would consider our stay as quite enjoyable, but certainly not worth the $1300 we paid.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay at The Mantra in the Village bar the noise from the street below at all hours of the night. The staff were polite although a lot of the time they weren't at reception. The location was really good. Our excitement from receiving a complimentary drink each to be used at Peppers was short lived when we realised it was only for a soft drink, we're a couple without children and would hardly bother to go to Peppers for a free soft drink. I asked the receptionist at Mantra in the village if we could have a complimentary alcoholic drink and she told me we don't have a liquer licence, I was a bit confused with this response. I left the voucher with her to give to a family with children.

We were in Port Douglas for a 60th Birthday and most of the 40 guests were staying at The Mantra Heritage or Village. Our apartment was opposite the pool access which made it very noisy at times, but we were rarely at the apartment through the day. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable.

Every thing was great, our biggest disappointment was that the spa tub was leaking quite fast, draining as quick as we could fill it. Only used once during our stay. Considering we were celebrating our 30th anniversary & just wanted to relax this was disappointing. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.

Overall our stay was good. Only negative was your housekeeping staff . The noise around the pool area was horrendous. Usually it is a quiet time. Both days it was not a good experience sitting at the pool Room great, cleanliness great.

Luxurious relaxing excellent friendly capable staff who were v helpful when Spabath cut out taking all power with it 15 mins b4 we wer to go to a wedding. So v rushed n we had to take a taxi not walk n had wet hair as cldntdry it i time. Receptionist did her utmost for us then thanks. But spa not fixable sadly till after we left. That’s life!!

I enjoyed the convenient location in the village, close to everything. The 2 bedroom apartment was ideal for 2 friends. Would have preferred an extra toilet or en-suite but no deal breaker. Overall happy but main negative was there was no receptionist most of our stay and we had our room key fail which was a big issue, luckily a cleaner let us back in as we quickly had to pack and leave for the airport. There was no toilet in the pool area or reception, would have been good to have one. The price seemed reasonable and the 2 bedrooms configuration was terrific, our main reason for choosing the Mantra in the Village.

Our room was comfortable and larger than we expected. We loved the spa bath on our private balcony (but some robes to use after the spa would have topped it off!). The location of the hotel was perfect for our first stay in Port Douglas. We loved being able to walk to the beach and out for dinner. The staff were helpful and arranged airport transfers for us on request. There wasn’t always someone available at the front desk but it was only a short walk to Mantra Heritage if we wanted to organise tours or speak to someone. Our only criticism was that our room was quite noisy at night because it faced into the street. A few times we were woken by people yelling and groups of people seemed to congregate our the front for a while. We tried closing all the doors and windows at night but we could still hear the noise.

The 1 bedroom apartment was clean and spacious. The apartment was great for the price we paid. We booked for the outdoor Jacuzzi. The front desk was rarely attended, we only saw someone there when we checked in and checked out. It would appear that front desk services are shared with the Heritage next door. The room was nice and quiet, even though we were next to the pool, and very spacious. The bed was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing we would change is that free Wifi was not offered. I would have thought this was somewhat standard these days even for budget accommodation.
