The one and only negative of my stay was with the WiFi. I had issues connecting my laptop and the WiFi went out several times requiring me to retype in the password.

Every assistance was provided to us to make our stay easy and pleasant. We were able to check in early after a long international flight, the bed was adjusted for us on request, and a bag check and shower were available for the time after checkout until our flight departure. The room was well laid out, large and comfortable. The location was outstanding and the cost was reasonable, the service very friendly and helpful. All together an excellent travel experience.

From the moment we arrived our experience was positive. Able to park right at the front door, check in was easy, delighted to receive 2 drink vouchers & then find choc fudge in room. Bed comfortable & staff helpful.

Was mainly good except I had booked a back to back stay and asked for cleaning to be carried out properly and it wasn't. I had to get staff back twice to correct which I found really sad for such a level of hotel. Apart from this it was good, that was just very disappointing.

Checking in was difficult due to a lack of parking. Unloading my car contents on the street was odd and uncomfortable - the trolleys are difficult to manoeuvre. I was unaware that parking incurred a cost, prior to booking. Perhaps this could have been made clearer in the booking process.

Great room, very quiet. Just like a bed sit with everything you could need. Outlook onto Grey street pleasant with growing vines and lorikeets. Hard to know I was in the city. I have ear marked room number for future stays.

Good size rooms and convenient location

The Mantra South Bank has a convenient location for me as our Brisbane Office is on grey street. I have stayed here a few times and the rooms are always large and well presented. Seperate lounge room with kitchenette makes for a comfortable stay. This time my room was on the side of the building near the train tracks and you can hear them from the room so probably not great for light sleepers. In the bathroom I nearly fell over in the shower due to it being slippery... not sure if something had not been washed off properly or if that was just how the shower/bath is. Bathroom supplies dont include a shower cap so you would need to bring your own if that is something you wanted... I suggest it would be good for mantra to provide these

I enjoyed my one night stay at Mantra Southbank as I was going to an event at QPAC. Bed was comfortable, wi fi worked well, loved the buffet breakfast, easy walk to Qpac and to restaurants. Look forward to staying again.

For the Premium price charged, my Mantra experience was perhaps the worst hotel experience Ive had.

At booking, I realised that the Sth Bank location can demand a relatively higher price. I expected service to match. I did NOT expect:... to pay for WiFi ($15), to be called from my shower by Housekeeping 45min before check out, to find a pokey Motel budget feeling bathroom, to be offered mean-spirited cheap coffee facilities, to have NO video streaming access, to find low grade fit out and appliances (including instruction on how to insert a DVD into an old world player -I had no DVDs,) to have 2 smaller deds pushed together (badly) to show that size counts, It felt like return custom was being discouraged...It worked!

My first room was a little dirty (spots on bathroom floor that didn't look like it had been cleaned), debris on carpets. Second morning of trip woke up at 3AM to very bad smell of smoke which turned out to be marijuana smoke coming through the ventilation. After repeatedly explaining that I could not stay in that room the front desk sent up maintenance who confirmed the smell and then I was given a new room. It was a much better room. My reservation said my room came with breakfast but when I was asked was told my room did not come with breakfast so I only at breakfast once during a five day stay. When my bill arrived, it said "room including breakfast" right next to my room rate. But I was also charged for breakfast the one day I did eat breakfast. I like the area but would hesitate to stay here again based on my experience.
