My holiday was ruined because of the disappointing experience received at The Canvas hotel. Dust on bedside tables, mini bar smells of stale lager, carpet dirty, wooden floors not cleaned, smell from toilet, broken toilet seat throughout Trip (reported it 3-4 times), bath tap broken(water from shower attachment leaking water onto the floor so had to keep it inside the bath when running and using the bath - not ideal), shower room tap loose, came off several times in my hand, noise from roof top club and chairs being dragged across the wooden floor constantly through all hours of the night and early morning hours. No napkins frequently provided at restaurant, tables not cleaned from previous use, dirty table mats, wobbly table, chairs all looked worn. Sometimes long wait for lift as only 1x lift from lobby up to roof and also down to taxi basement working. Entrance to hotel felt awkward in the basement. Dangerous having to walk up/down vehicle entrance/exit slope to walk into and exit hotel entrance. No buffet provided as only few half board guests on 8 out of the 14 nights I stayed. Breakfast moved to floor below at short notice led to some confusion. Had to ask for hot drinks, cutlery, dirty, uncleared unclean tables and chairs. Waited long for food which came luke warm, no seasoning or wrong order. Layout of kapoor Sanjeet (sp?) on basement 1 (floor below lobby was very poor and disappointing). Sometimes too salty and description content of food unclear if guest have food allergies - staff inexperienced had no clue so no help in choosing food selection. No sign post for directions to sauna or gym so I missed on visits to those areas entirely. Front desk manager (Anu) extremely rude and unhelpful, threatening me with police when I questioned the extortionate rip off mini-bar charges, hotel tax, tourism enforced unexpectedly on me which were a total and very unwanted surprise.

During your check-in arrival process, we have confirmed to you the details of your room reservation made through a travel agent, which was including the buffet breakfast and dinner on half board basis. As earlier mentioned during your stay, we encourage you to contact your travel agent to clarify with them your concern. On the second day, to enhance your stay, we have upgraded you in our next category room with view and have also delivered complimentary amenities. Nevertheless, we value your feedback and will work towards improving our products and services. Great staff. Very helpfull and friendly. Big room with very nice design, but the room needs some renovation, especially in the bathroom. The water in wathtub won't stay after a certain level or if you enter. The shower area was a little bit rusty and moldy. I didn't like that the entrance was from the parking lot. At 40°C outside, in the parking lot is like a very big sauna.

We have a free upgrade to a beautiful suite. Unfortunately the Indian restaurant was closed so we were unable to try it. The only disappointing thing was the lack of provision for pedestrians to enter the hotel as you have to walk down the car ramp and there’s no sidewalk to it for safety.

I came in through reference and stayed with the hotel. The experience was mixed as on one hand I saw the staff very friendly and courteous but on the other hand there were flaws in servicein terms of delay - e.g water took 2.5 hours to be delivered in my room. I had to call thrice for my food order etc. I guess the temperature in the room also was not well controlled. The control in the room was not working!
