The hotel is very nice and the room was very comfy. We headed only for a night before taking a flight and didn't experienced the breakfast. The staff was english friendly which is a must in China. The location is good with a lot of bars and restaurants around.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay in Grand Mercure Downtown. Facilitated an early checkin on arrival as had spent 24hrs travelling from Ireland. Room was quite spacious & bed was really comfortable. Particularly liked the wet room style shower. Location is excellent & would certainly recommend this hotel .

Basically I was dissatisfied why it took the housekeeping took hours to respond to my request for my welcome drink when I needed it most when I was extremely thirsty after eating my spicy snack. I decided to rate you 10 because Rita took the initiative to refund my second night booking. I extended my stay and make full payment on the second day at the counter around noon time before I went for my lunch. During my lunch, my friend asked me to go Changde. That means I no longer needed to stay at Mecure for the second night. In any case I intend to write off the paid charges for the second night and check out after lunch. I told Rita at the front desk after I returned to the hotel from lunch. Without expecting for any refund, Rita volunteered to say that she will refund because it's before 2pm and she can refund and treat it as a late check-out. I am impressed with her service level. This will make me to return to Mecure Changsha.

Was given 2 vouchers for welcome drink upon check-in. Decided to redeem for the drinks on my 2nd night by calling the room service line. Opted for 2 soft drinks (01 Sprite & 01 Fanta Orange) of my choice. Waited for 25 minutes but no one turn up. Called the hotline again and within 10 minutes it was delivered. However, the Sprite and Fanta orange were just 2 cans and it was not chilled at all. I asked for a 2 glass of ice and was told that there is no ice and if I want it cold I can just leave it inside the mini bar. The staff then walked away. This is not something I will expect from an esteemed hotel chain. Emailed the Accor customer service email but till now, there is not a single reply from them.

Located at the city centre of Changsha. Very convenient for several tourist attractions (Orange Island and Mount Yue Lu) and shopping areas (Fire God Temple, IFS, Tai Ping Old Street, Huang Xing Lu Pedestrian Street)

I stayed there for one night. As LeClub gold member, I got a nice upgrade to a junior suite. The room was clean, but aged. The window was small and not to be opened, the AC was not running. Temperature was around 25 C, so too warm to have a good rest. The breakfast was mediocre, the highlight was a toaster for 6 slices. Only 2 slots worked, but only on side each. The toasts slices were to thick to get properly in.. crap! The service was good, the staff friendly. The no smoking rules in the floors and lobby couldn't be enforced by the hotel. The entrance is a little bit hidden.

The staff was very courteous and accommodating to an international traveler who does not speak the local language. Extremely comfortable bed and linens. Food was a turnoff, no restaurant on site killed the entire experience for me.

The swimming pool of hotel was shared with a fitness center also managed by this center, but no reminder told this info, furthermore, when I finished my swimming but was told that there was any towel provided for hotel guest also this info was not told by hotel, finally, I had no choice but to wait until all water wind-dried. so bad experience!
