The hotel situated at the heart of the city. Therefore it is very convenient for you to move around in the city. Especially for those who like to do shopping. The MRT station is just beside the hotel and very convenient for your travelling. The rooms are cleaned but the lift to the rooms should used security access for security purposes. I would recommend for those who wish to travel to Changsha. This hotel can consider.

All very good, including the internet access and speed. My only quibble - if your going to serve a cooked breakfast such as scrambled eggs, bacon, etc these things need to be hot. what you served was cold.

« Very good location but tired hotel »

Very conveniently located next to Wuyi Plaza subway station. Just less than 1 hour from the South Railway Station or Airport. Concierge was hardly to be seem, and the front desk staff pay NO attention to Le Club Members queuing at the priority line at all and just served whoever comes to them, therefore chaos both at check in and out. The front desk staff also did not know about the Le Club benefits for Platinum members, compliementary breakfast in this instance was only offered on request. AccorPlus welcome drink voucher was also not provided until asked.

Nina at Reservation was all cheerful and smiley. That's what made the difference. The concierge was also helpful. The cleanliness of the Room is questionable.

« Friendly staff provides good customer service but infrastructure needs to improve. »

Was 1st given a room with very good view. However, aircon was not working. Duty staff was quick to provide a suite for replacement (forgot her name). Room lifts are slow and usually need to wait for a few minutes. There is a slope when walking towards the lift, which might be a safety hazard. There is no washroom in the main lobby!

Check in and check out is efficient. The room is good, the bed is comfortable, breakfast is good with many varieties, location is very convenient. However, bathroom needs to be updated - water leakage in the bath tub and the shower curtain is dirty.

« Nothing 'Grand' about this Mercure »

Just finished a 3 night stay at this hotel and was left completely disappointed. I would avoid this hotel and would have checked out earlier would it not have been that this was the only Accor hotel nearby. Warnings/cons: False advertising - hotel mentioned that the executive lounge was to be renovated till September on their website - its now late October and it still wasn’t done. They brought some cookies and sandwiches to my room each day but it was low quality. No Room Service - again false advertising since their website says 24 hour food; I couldn’t even order some room service; this is a 5 star hotel mind you! I was told ‘there are plenty of restaurants around’ which is really not acceptable for a hotel of this brand/stars. The breakfast is terrible - this is not ‘Grand Mercure’ standard; staff never proactively asked if I wanted coffee, eggs were limited, quality of food was depressing. All three mornings I ate croissants and fruit only. The rooms are much too hot, A/C not working - I was switched rooms since I complained that 24-25 degrees is too warm for me; new room didn’t help much but I can tell that staff couldn’t do more; they suggested ‘to bring a fan’ but seriously this is a 5* hotel… No bars/restaurants in the evening - the only ‘restaurant’ closes at 9 pm and there are no lounge/bars to relax, have a drink and get some work done. This is pretty standard for premium hotels. English level is not up to standards - no staff could really speak good English; but having lived in China this is not too ‘strange’ and if there weren’t so many other issues I could avoid this Pros: Staff seems to try their best and are genuinely nice, but are not really qualified to run a western chain hotel in my opinion Internet actually works quite fast and easily - perhaps the only great thing about this hotel; I could do my work easily Decent Gym - the gym is independent but has good machinery; the bad part is that it doesn’t offer any free water or towels for hotel guests - I find that a bit ‘cheap’ for a 5* hotel. At ~1,000 RMB/night there are plenty of better options in Changsha. Until they finish their likely renovation of facilities I suggest they put a BIG disclaimer on their website, lower their prices and align expectations with their guests.

I stayed only for 1 night. The staff was nice enough to upgrade my room and provide a welcome fruit snack. However, the executive lounge was not open and the rooms had seen better days.

« Generally good, but some details need improved »

Mercure in Changsha is really good located and their room is generally cosy. I can feel respected when checking in the hotel. Yet still I still find some disappointment through my three stay in here. First comes with the out of updated Honeywell central air conditioning, not well working at the beginning, and I have to make a phone call to room service it's just an avoidable truffle. Besides to the living experience, my booking through ACCOR app is hard to satisfied, poor UI design. The pics of hotel inside the app are just simply missing or all-the-same, please improve throughly it.

« Nice location average service »

Hotel location is really convenient, close to everything. The lobby is a bit hard to find.room is spacious and well maintained. Upgraded to room however the reception told me that only upgrade the room but don’t get any benefit?? It probably explains why the Mercure can’t be a top brand.
