Our 10 day stay was fantastic, with excellent service and beautiful resort facilities. The grand water sunset villa is a beautiful room and our Butler Azim was very accommodating. I only have 2 comments to note on areas that could be improved or were not up to expectations: 1) the guided jet ski session was a waste of 300$ USD. We expected to be given a tour of the reef and some insight into the environment and where we would be jetskiing, however once we mounted the jet ski, our “guide” took off and we spent 30 minutes trying to catch up to him as he was very far ahead of us and never looked back. No safety information was provided either around what we should do should someone fall off. 2) raha market was closed for 3 days even though the communication was that it would be closed for 2. The breakfast alternative at Azure was vastly inferior in the food offerings which was disappointing to experience for 30% of our stay.

Our tented villa accomodation was really super and beyond expectations and Ali Hussain cheerfully kept us pristine and comfortable the whole time, he deserves 5 stars. We were also well looked after by our butler Saraah , we probably didn’t take full advantage of his services but he was always available when we needed him. All of the staff throughout the resort were cheerful and friendly all of the time, particularly the restaurant staff who were particularly attentive, but special mention must go to Richard the Executive Sous Chef who was so generous with his knowledge of healthy menus. The only disappointment was the member of staff who promised to get back to us regarding claiming our Le Club Accor points until he was chased for the information on our last day. All in all our stay was fantastic at this beautiful resort and we were pleasantly surprised by the gift of bubbly on our wedding anniversary.

I traveled and stayed at Sirru Fen Fushi with my wife and two other couples. My wife and i have travelled extensively throughout Asia and South East Asia staying at many 5 star resorts. I, my wife and the other two couples found this stay to be the best we have ever experienced. I found the location and surrounds to be simply amazingly beautiful. We found all staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and polite. Simply, the staff could not do enough for us. I could not fault one aspect of our stay! We will all be back.

We are well traveled, we have stayed in outstanding resorts and hotels across the world .. we like to assimilate into the local culture absorbing all that has to be offered. This holiday was by far the BEST. The staff, the resort styling, food and pure magic of the Maldives is what makes it 12/10. I would like to mention a few staff who made the difference to our holiday and why we continue to rave about the Fairmont Maldives First of all Jan for calling and checking on us when we were stranded in Male for our first night due to stormy weather conditions. We have experience this on other island holidays and no one from the resort followed up with a call. Ibbe in Raha Market... he is a gem.. full of life, positivity, and asupreme professional with a wealth of information about his beloved Maldives .. a man who takes pride in what he does. Richard - head chef, who always found time to chat to us about food, travel and his experience which we tasted in his food the amazing and patient Depak Ranan who hosted our Maldivian cooking classes.. you made it so easy to learn and love your passion - thank you Surath and his smiling happy welcome each morning Suranga and his delicious Dosa's thank you Lakmal, and Florian - the hosts with the most ... amazing job .. chatting from guest to guest - you always made us feel welcome - thank you Last but not least - Mahil we watched him work so hard with other guests... he was always available for us (not that we needed much) he prepared a wonderful surprise for Anthony's 50th birthday with music, ballons, cake and 3 songs played on his guitar.... Here is my review on Trip Advisor Rooms - the 2 bedroom over the water villa was spacious and comfortable. Comparable to St. Regis and Four Seasons Bora Bora. But the private pools pushes the Fairmont over the top. Our rooms are always clean, thanks to twice daily services Property - Absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Exceeded our experience compare to Bora Bora. The Arts and Craft building is definitely the highlight for my 10 year old daughter.. Charith (sorry about the spelling) and the rest of the staff are fantastic. He spent time teaching us coconut and abstract painting. He gave us some of his own art work as well. My kids and I spend a lot of time at the Arts and Craft building and it was a great family experience. The resort infinity pool was breathe taking and not crowded. Restaurants - Our booking included half-board (Breakfast and Dinner). The buffet at Raha had good variety of western and Asian food selections. The service was excellent. As expected for a tropical island, there were some flying bugs. They have a dedicated staff with electric fly-swatter! The food at the seadfood and Chinese restaurants were also excellent (included with the half-board). The staff at these restaurants are very friendly, but it took a long time for the food. Snorkeling - Snorkeling with the marine biologist was definitely the highlight for my 12 year old son. Sam (Aqua-Sam!), the marine biologist was incredible, super friendly and knowledgeable. We had close encounters with the turtles (Annika and Martha). My son spotted dolphins and sharks. We even got to name a baby stingray, Bob (it's official, Sam!). Snorkeling by jumping off our patio was also great with good variety of marine life. Definitely far better snorkeling experience compared to Bora Bora. The only disappointment was that the statues at the underwater museum were destroyed by the government last year. Staff - Always friendly and helpful. Our butler, Saraah, and the restaurant staff (Richard, Celeste and Surath) took great care of us. They accommodated our every request with a smile. We were a little hesitant with the whole process of getting to the hotel from Male airport but all the hesitation went out the window once we got through airport security and found a hotel representative waiting for us. WOW, WOW, WOW! Arriving on the boat, walking into our LUXURIOUS overwater susset villa, to viewing fish through the viewing portals in quirky places. The pictures on the website are fantastic but do not prepare you for the reality of the overwhelming beauty and decadence of our stay. I am so fortunate to have been able to immerse myself in the waters and heat of the Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi. The staff were professional, helpful, friendly and calm. I will return.

The Fairmont Sirru Fen Fushi is not just an idyllic paradise to visit, it's an experience that revitalises and energises the mind and soul. On arrival we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and this level of hospitality continued to the moment we said a very regretful farewell. The overwater villas are very spacious and are decorated superbly. Our stay was enhanced by quality extras including a luxurious copper bathtub, incredibly soft and spacious beds, well-stocked mini bar and excellent Wi-fi. The outdoor area is spectacular with a full-size daybed, sun lounges and a comfy swing allowing you plenty of options to relax and unwind. The highlight of our overwater escape was our very own infinity edge pool where the turquoise water of the ocean was the perfect backdrop. The food in all restaurants was exceptional. We were lucky enough to experience all of the dining options and our expectations were exceeded. Every meal was made with the freshest of ingredients and was a taste sensation. We were able to try some delicious, exotic foods that showcased the Maldivian cuisine and the chefs mastered the flavours and dishes of countries from around the world. The breakfast buffet was the most outstanding buffet we have experienced in over 20 years of travelling to some of the world's most exceptional hotels. We had the pleasure of visiting the Willow Tree Spa and thoroughly enjoyed a couples massage. The Spa is a tranquil retreat where we were able to relax and be pampered. We went for a bike ride to explore the island stopping for a refreshing dip in the ocean and a cocktail by the pool. The resort pool spans from one side of the island to the other and is the perfect picture location day or night. The Fairmont offers the most helpful team who were always there to assist. From Villa hosts, room attendants, bar staff and chefs - they are all masters in their roles and do an outstanding job. We make special mention of Ivy, Adey & Celeste plus the waiters and cook staff who served us during our stay. Thank you!!! We have had many friends and family comment on our beautiful photos and we have no hesitation in recommending them to the Fairmont - Maldives. We hope to return soon with our 2 boys and to share with them this magnificent place which will always hold a special place in our hearts.

It was a 4 nights honeymoon stay at Fairmont Maldives and our first time travelling to Maldives, the service and facilities of the resort is awesome! I would love to highlight a few staff that I would like to send a great thanks to: 1) Azim was our butler for the first two days(he was on annual leave on the latter two days); he is great, respond quickly to our call and request and solve our problems before I was only asking lightly. For example, there was a loosen wood at the end of the stair into the water, he quickly asked the team to fix it the next morning; also not hesitate to pick up my call at like 11pm (when I do not know which button to turn off a light). 2) Our second butler Ali is great too! Again, he is professional and respond to our request efficiently; always be able to pick us up within a few minutes after we called; and very friendly. 3) Jane from the diving center is also the highlight. Although we can speak fluent English, she able to explain everything in Chinese is also a plus (easier to understand and can ask more technical questions) and she is hilarious, our chat are awesome! 4) We’ve joined the diving tour and sunset fishing tour, both bring us unforgettable memories. The crew was super nice and helpful, the diving master is great and able to answer all our questions regarding the sea and fish etc. and took great care of both of us under the water; the diving gear and the boats are super new and clean. 5) Multiple staff and chef from Raha Market made both of us feel very welcoming and warm; although we only stayed for a few nights, staff able to remember our choice for coffee and our preference on the egg(during breakfast), and would asked our opinion on the food, the pastry station is awesome! Moreover, the theme nights are great too. 6) The house keeping crew is friendly and helpful; keep our 4 night stay villa super neat and clean; never forget to refill the things we use up and not hesitate to come back in a later time as we are getting ready to go out etc. every little details warmed our heart. Lastly, I would like to suggest a thing that I wanted to express some dissatisfactory: 1) I’ve emailed at least 3 times (for quotation and activities etc.) to the hotel emails a few times prior to the trip to understand more in order to get ready but I’m not able to get any reply. Ultimately I booked through a local agency in HK and able to collect some info from them. 2) I was looking forward to do some complimentary sunset/sunrise yoga session at the villa (as I saw many of the resorts foes offer that); however I only know that there is none after arrival. Like I said in point, if I would be able to know it before the trip, I would keep the expectation off my head. Overall, I love the stay a lot and husband and I have a good time.

Amazing paradise like resort with warm staff

Generally, the resort is like paradise to us, lots of place to chill and everywhere is a amazing photo spot. We enjoyed the overwater villa a lot and wake up seeing the light blue ocean is the best part. We love to go outdoor and enjoy the sea breeze. We visited the Spa three times during the stay and it is truly a relaxing place, definitely recommended if you are staying here. The long swimming pool next to the bar is beautiful and you can take nice pictures there. The pool is just next to the breakfast place so you can enjoy it right after breakfast. We finished our first coconut painting in the art Center. The staff told us the paint white first and paint the rest. I expected more instruction but anyway we enjoyed it. I hope there can be more fun stuff to do other than that. Our villa host Arai greeted us warmly every time she met us and she arranged our schedule nicely. We had good conversations with her. She has passion on what she is doing. Besides, most of the staff in the resort recognised us and greeted us everyday they saw us. We felt their passion and felt like home. Thank you staff of Fairmont. We tried all three restaurants, the bar and room service during our stay. The Raha Market is the one we visited most. It’s facing the beach, having breakfast there is relaxing. Food served during breakfast is good with lots of options, but not the best we had. We got a omelet from the live egg station everyday. It was good for the first few days but the one we had on the last day was not. It was a scramble egg with tomato and cheese powder on top. It shouldn’t be served but we finished it anyway, we don’t want to waste any food. For dinner in Raha Market, the options are few, they focused on the live grill station. The grilled food was fine but since the restaurant is by the beach, the food gone cold like immediately. We didn’t enjoy it very much. Yet we enjoyed the stir-fried crab on the first night a lot. We went to Azure on the second night, it was the best dinner we had in the resort. The restaurant itself is stunning, the table is facing the ocean. We had lobster ravioli and surf n turf as main course. Surf n turf is great but the ravioli is a bit over cooked. The flavours are there though. Kata is also a stunning restaurant facing the sea closely and we enjoyed beautiful sunset there. However, we wouldn’t call it a Japanese restaurant. The food are hardly authentic at all. They have tried a buffet style for the first time on our visit day. There were sushi and sashimi station but there are only one type of sashimi and some rolls. And there was grill skewers of seafood and meat station. It is not Japanese food, even with teriyaki sauce. There is only one type of tempura, which was pre made and cold and not having the texture it supposed to have. If you want to serve good Japanese food, you must hire a Japanese chef. Otherwise, change the restaurant to Thai restaurant and hire a Thai chef, which I think will be easier to manage. The Onu Onu bar is a beautiful place where we visited almost everyday. They have a amazing band at night and great cocktails. We also enjoyed shisha one night. Lastly, we tried room service twice, with some common items: pasta, pizza, fish n chips. Fish and Chips was bad, none of them are crunchy. Pasta and pizza are fine, not great. Hope you can improve on room service quality. All in all, we enjoyed our stay a lot and we had a truly relaxing vacation in Fairmont Maldives. We hope to visit next time and taste better food.

- We had a good experiences on the first day in Luxury beach villa - only suffering the raining day while move to the water Villa, but quite good flow breakfast - may still need more cartoon movies in children club

THE ROOM WAS SUPERB STAFF WERE SUPERB BAD EXPERIENCE WAS ONLY FOOD, WE DINT GOT VEGETARIAN INDIAN FOOD AT THE RESORT CHILDREN WERE FORCE TO HAVE DRY FOOD WHICH I HAVE CARRIED ALONG WITH ME TO UR RESORT WE PAID FOR ALL MEALS, BUT JUST HAD RICE SAMBHAR N PARATHA AT RESORT

Seaplane ride to the atoll was a terrible experience as the weather was bad and we wondered about the pilots' skill. The villas were incredible and the layout and set up was wonderful. The birthday welcome was a pleasant surprise. Our biggest disappointment was the weather as we couldn't do most things we wanted like snorkeling from the villa, kayaking, jet skiing, or other water activities. Another let down was the closure of the world famous coralarium. Perhaps this should be alerted before booking. Azure and Kata were nice for the experience of dining out in the sea but expensive and some seafood was not available due to the bad weather. The staff everywhere were very nice and many of them made it a point to chat with us. The lights in the main villa failed twice during our stay and the water heaters did not work or work well on the day of our departure and my daughter showered in cold water. We had some problems connecting with the wifi and had to ask for help. Considering these failures, I had hoped for some concession from the management but did not see it in the final bill.
