As an impromptu decision for our family, the staycation at Joy Nostalg was most enjoyable. We did not expect the many in-house amenities from the hotel. We just wish we had more time to enjoy them. Maybe this Christmas again!

« Stay was beyond great...except for one. »

So we stayed here for 3 days to celebrate New Year 2019. Everything was great. The rooms are spacious, homey and clean. Food: not much of selection. Location is 10/10 it is in the middle of Rob Galleria, Podium and Megamall. Parking are a bit stressful. They go on a first come first serve basis. If they ran out of slots, you park somewhere else but not in the hotel's premise. Staffs are nice and friendly. But there was ONE who made a mark. The chef at the EGG station during bfast buffet, Carlo (other staff said thats his name) was full of arrogance and throwing some attitude. I was about to get Miso Soup but noticed that it isnt hot anymore. I asked a server to please heat it and I will wait. I asked nicely, with a smile on my face just wanting to get a hot miso soup.While waiting, I was just roaming around looking for other food to get. Then this Carlo went to the Miso soup area, turned the electric stove on and said to the server loudly "DI DAW MAINIT?E UMUUSOK NGA!" (Take note, it was just covered. There's usok but it aint hot. You can literally dip your finger and feel nothing I swear.)I asked him why is he acting like that when all I wanted is to have a nice hot miso soup. Guess what? He keeps on denying it and even walked out. Continued cooking and smiling sarcastically. How can a professional chef get in to a prestigous and very nice hotel? Very boastful.And because of him, our should be 10/10 staycation, no more. Before it happened, I told my family (yes, I booked 3 rooms for 3d2n) that we will be back but with that scene, We might not anymore. Unless Joy Nostalg make proper actions regarding that chef's behavior (if he really is a chef)

He is obviously apologetic for the misunderstanding and certainly did not mean to offend or upset yourself or any other guest for that matter. While he has only been with us for a couple of months he has received a lot of great feedback from many of our guests due to him being approachable and providing assistance. My family spent the new year’s and we are more than pleased with our stay. Staff are most welcoming and super accommodating. We can tell that it was a busy time because the lobby was full when we checked in and checked out. But it was seamless.

We love to eat... the kitchen is my favorite spot in the room ^_^ The heated, indoor with underwater speaker for great music make the swimming pool really awesome! We usually stay 2 or 3 nights every time we get chance to do a staycation at your hotel. Great customer service, most especially Mark from the front desk. We had a slight issue with booking though because we usually pay in cash upon checkin but it was easily resolved when they gave us another option in terms of booking. Dining was great as well.

It was a nice place but there were few concerns that was not addressed and resolved right away. And we really hoped there were always frontliners always available to answer phoe calls promptly. They could have checked rooms before opening the rms to the guests.

« I had a great time. Less stress-free event because the Sales and Events Team are very accommodating, good listener and proactive. »

My stay is excellent! Living in a 2-bedroom Room, having my own bath tub in the main room plus, was able to make coffee or tea in the kitchen area. Complete with amenities. I was even joking the participants about doing the laundry since an automatic washing machine is available.

It always felt like home staying at Joy Nostalg. It's our go-to place for staycation. We booked the 3 br suite to celebrate our dad's 60th birthday. It was fun for everyone as we have plenty of space with our kids just walking around. Our babies enjoyed the heated pool. Also, the free cake was so thoughtful since I told the reservation agent about my dad's bday just once,didnt really emphasize on it so I was surprise to see the cake. The housekeeping was very helpful when we requested to change 1 of our sheets and pillow late at night coz my nephew vomitted all over it. They were prompt in giving our requests (new batteries for the remote,additional pans,tissue etc) it was kinda unexpected though coz before there were ample supplies and kitchenwares available and no need to call for it. We just had a problem with 1 bathroom,drain was clogged and smelled funky, we used the other bathroom instead.It was fine since we just stayed overnight, I just forgot to mention it when we checked out. Lastly, breakfast was okay but would have been better if more options. Overall, it was a fun and comfortable stay for the family and would definitely go back.

I do not feel as happy as I used to stay here. First, there was no welcoming fruit as usual (or my memory was not correct for previous times?). The fridge is too noisy that I must ask a technician to turn off the power before bed time.
