« Satisfactory Stay...Human Interaction okay but facilities need improvement »

Interaction with hotel staff was fine. However, facilities can do with some improvement. Bedroom door was difficult to close/open. Telephone was not functional. Bedside table lamp socket was loose. Curtain was difficult to close, as well.

« I love the rooms and other facilities except Official Receipt could not be changed to my company since I personally booked it. »

Loved the fact that we were able to bring our pet with us and the rooms were above my expectations. Although It would be a 10 if the name on the OR could be changed for bookings made personally. We were actually looking for an alternative to Discovery Suites, where we usually stay but the OR thing was a bit of a let down.

« Nice Hotel but beware of danger within »

My wife and I stayed at Joy Nostalg Hotel from Aug 4-9, 2018. We both enjoyed our stay except for the following problems. 1. We were issued 2 card keys upon check-in. One of the room keys issued didn’t work and I had to go back to the Front Desk to have it reprogrammed. Another key didn’t work after a few days and I had to have it reprogrammed again. 2. The thermostat in the room didn’t work. It was OK for a couple days but the room became colder when it rained. 3. The bedframe has an extended edge. My wife and I both had accidentally bumped into it several times. Attached are pictures of bruises on my leg and my wife's leg. My feet hit the legs of the bed frames numerous times but fortunately I was wearing shoes. 4. The concierge staff are very friendly and attentive but it doesn’t seem right when they chat with the front desk people for a long time.

Check in was easy. The room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. Looking for the utensils was quite difficult though and the cups where in a difficult place to reach.Hallways where clean. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. Check out was a breeze

It was a perfect overnight stay. Dinner was superb too. And of course the sunday breakfast exceeded my expectation. The room was larger too than the usual hotel rooms. The only problem which i hope could be addressed was the parking. We were told to wait for a vacant spot so we had to park at an open area nearby. And past midnight, when we transferred our car, we were then told that they could not accommodate big cars inside. How silly was that? So we had to go back to the open parking again. But we could do away with that, because the services, the room, the facilities were so great.

Joy- Nostalg needs to step up their customer service game especially that it is now being managed by Accor. First and foremost, availability of parking slots to checked in guests is a must. If there are no more slots, there should be a more convenient way to have alternatives rather than asking a paying guest to park at the open parking, wait until there is an available slot already and personally transfer the car to that available parking slot. Requests for additional amenties take time that we need to follow up thrice. Availability/supply of hdmi cable being rented/borrowed is limited and if the cable has been rented by a long staying guest, the other guests are left with no choice. There are no alternative options. Breakfast buffet service was terrible. Full occupancy is already expected the night before hence dining staff and receptionists for breakfast should have been augmented. It took us 3 follow ups to accommodate a table for 7. Additional chairs were added to our table but we had to follow up on the table set up for the additional pax. Coffee service and water were followed up more than twice and the bill took more than 10 mins. I had the mistake of not being able to bring my accor card and when i finally returned to present it, i was told that the transaction has been credited and it csnnot be voided. That was the first time in any hotel that i experienced that transactions cannot be accommodated straight up without even checking if it is possible. Eventually after more than 10 mins, it was indeed possible. At the driveway (by the office lobby), our car wasnt allowed entry by the guard because the janitorial was cleaning up the driveway at 11am. The driveway had a ramp so my family had to walk thru a wet and watery driveway to get to the car parked by the roadside, the same way the when i saw a foreigner alight from his car with his luggage in tow. We all walked down a slippery hallway because maybe they were more concerned of the car rather than the pedestrians. To access the swimming pool toilet, you have to be dry. Really? At the swimming pool area? And the towels at the pool are not allowed to be brought back to the room even if the guests wasnt able to bring their own towels. The pool attendants were okay for you to walk though the hallways with your swimming outfit rather than lend the towel. I regret trying Joy-Nostalg.

Its my 3rd time to check in with the hotel but its my first time not to check in on time, we have to wait an hour just to be in our room and yet it is fully paid in advance. The staff were not accomodating, they even not trained to say sorry as a courtesy. Instead they murmur and make gossips behind your back. The manager tried to compensate us with a cheese platter but for me its not enough because the reason why we are there its because its our strat plan. The whole meeting was mess up because we started upset. Even my boss, waited for so long and already demand a compensation.

The kids loved the hotel! They were amazed on how the bathroom looks, especially the bath tub where they could also watch while playing. The amenities inside the room are complete. It is just like we are at home as everything we need is right there.

« we are a repeat customer, but some things jsut didnt work out the last time, particularly around the service at the counter and the cleanliness of the room »

we always have loved staying at joy-nostalg and find the service and standards great and consistent. however, during our last visit: 1) the water coming out of the bathroom had a funny smell, 2) there were nail clippings under the coffee table that were not ours, 3) the front desk seemed occupied when we were there. I assume that they had a lot of things going on at that time (I saw signage for big events and security), but it surely felt like a less positive experience compared to our previous ones.
