This time, nearly all IBIS team was able to understand English. Bravo! Easy communication is essential for comfort feeling in such country like China. I have been in this hotel several times and each time I am better understood.

This is Beijing in 2017 and no internet in the room! The room needed to be painted and was in need of cleaning. I would not stay there again. If you don't need internet and don't mind a very used (rundown) atmosphere then this is your choice.

Rooms are fine but there is continuous smell of non veg in reception, lift which leads to headache. My veg eating friend Had terrible time. For non veg eaters this should be fine. Hotel should also accept US dollars for payment.

« Not what we expected »

Staff have little to no english. Constantly having to ask for tea, toilet paper, water which should be restocked. Two bottles of water for a room booked for three. No coffee supplied. Buffett breakfast for asians not westerns, very creasy food and service terrible. Only positive close to subway. I have stayed at a few ibis and this was disappointing.

Couldn't believe how long it took to check in. It's 2016! Most people travelled a long way. In my case, more than 16 hours. Check out took even longer! How is this happening in the age of technology. Quicker renting a car than a hotel room. This is more astonishing considering that I booked online and am a member of the royalty club

Good ambience! good store (Lawson) also there for groceries. food available good with cheap cost. Best in room. Good bathrooms nice beds and Television was good. TV reception was good. Otherwise, free wifi.

They need to improve house keeping. Torn towels, broken flooring. Bad staff. They did not recognize my silver card membership. Can not communicate in English? No Iron and Ironboard available in the Hotel. Wifi very bad

I thought the room did not meet Ibis standards when compared to all other Ibis that I have already stayed before. The room is very small, the walls were very dirty and the bathroom looked like a train cabin toilet. The only pluses for me were: 1) the location (very close to a subway station which also has an express train to the airport), 2) next to a good shopping center 3) the staff did speak English (different from other reviews that said they didn't 4) the price. So if you are looking for a cheap hotel (like 2 stars), and don't bother the smelly, kind of dirty and small room, this might be a good option.

I have been staying in Ibis Sanyuan in numerous occasions for the reason of great convenience. With a newly opened sundry store at the hotel lobby giving me additional reason for my top choice within budget. However, the wear and tear are obvious these days such as mattress, toilet flushing, floor carpet and slight odor within the floors.

The property is in a great location, nice staff, unobstructed view (for the most part); however, maintenance has to improve. Will return for sure but first will check room if staying more than one night. Maintenance of shower, windows and floor in some rooms is really showing the signs of either age, poor service, or users lack of care for share property. I stay in two segments, the first room was fine, when I returned for the second segment I had to chafe rooms and even the second was not at the level of my first stay. Management could apply periodic inspection and block rooms that are sub-standard.

We booked and paid for 2 rooms at this hotel through Accor. We paid for breakfast at the time of booking. On departure we were made to pay for breakfasts again, and were told our reservation itinerary "means nothing" just cannot believe it! Appalled at the treatment we received. Another travel companion booked and paid for the room through another website and was told his room was not paid for at all! Please be vary wary when booking this hotel!

Booking was easy and straight to the point. Location was pretty good, right next to the phoenix mall and airport express train. Service was average. Good room except for the non-functional air conditioning. 5 out of 10 in my opinion.

Wifi was very slow and emails not accessible. Room is very small and no room for luggage. Toilet = caravan toilet. Breakfast was good. Towels were torn and very old. Needs a bit of enhancement on all fronts.

Window wouldn't shut & street noise and killer pollution came into the room.The handle from the bathroom and television were broken. Towels smelt disgusting, like they had been washed with an ashtray.

Great location and comfortable hotel. The staff was very accomodating and English speaking Manager went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Hotel is steps away from subway entrance which takes you everywhere in Beijing. Galaria Mall is next to hotel and Green Tea Resteraunt is not to be missed.

« Good location but poor facilities, due to Chinese standard »

The room is quite small. They are clean comparative to local hotel but the towel and bedsheets are very old. We can't identify if it was shower towel or bathroom carpet. The towel look poor and grey. The mattress is super thin and poor quality. The pillow have no thickness, just around 3 cm. The rooms are smelled, not fresh. By the way, it's is on the very good location just 300 m from SanYuanQiao Station which interchange between airport line and line 10. We drop our luggage at the hotel and go to Tianjin by train. The hotel locates in business area. Easy access to city centre by subway and taxi. We take only 5-10 minutes from hotel to Sanlitun in the weekdays morning. In conclusion, this hotel is a good hotel in Chinese standard, but not for international chain standard.

« Fantastic location, bathrooms smell of urine »

The location of this Ibis is convenient to everywhere. I have stayed here most times I am in Beijing for the past 5 years. The rooms are spotlessly clean, but the bathrooms are developing a smell of urine because of the male guests' inability to hit the toilet. The bathrooms are clean too, but unfortunately the hotel has still not found a cleaning product to get rid of the smell. This is why I gave cleanliness only 2 stars. (Anyone who travels a lot in China knows that this smell is a common problem in all but 5 star hotels, but even though the Ibis is not a 5 star, the foreign management should know how to take care of this problem. )

Rooms are really small, windows are small too. There is no wifi in the room(only in the lobby) , but you can use the bandwidth internet if you carry a computer. But they are clean and right next to a subway station that can get you to the airport and other parts of the city. Location is the best.
