Gorgeous island and fantastic staff It says a lot about a place when the staff have worked there for so long and a lot of your staff have been there for over 20 years From arriving at Male airport to leaving everything was perfect Hathim in the restaurant was always very attentive Tribal on the desert station was amazing The man who made the eggs in a morning (sorry I didn’t get a name) was always had a smile and made delicious scrambled eggs Nothing was too much trouble for anyone The staff at the marine centre were very knowledgable - the snorkelling and the whale shark trip were fantastic Cocktails were delicious - Thank you to all the bar staff Our room 111 was kept spotless sorry I didn’t get a name Thank you to you all We hope to return next year Pure paradise

This is my first time in the Maldives and I was surprised to choose Villavaru island for the first time! Her lagoon made me unforgettable, when we went out for a cruise, we saw so many dolphins, and there were magnificent sunsets, indescribably beautiful!

We visited in April 2024 and had a brilliant holiday. We had a beach villa; loved walking out onto the beach each day and seeing baby sharks and sting rays swimming along. Irushad really looked after us going above and beyond what was expected. In the restaurant Appa was brilliant every evening and even prepared a special table for us on our last evening. The food on offer is fantastic, pay no attention to any review that suggests otherwise. Adharsh, Zawho, Sura, Alex and all of the staff in the pool bar were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Daily snorkelling trip was great, whilst you can see plenty snorkelling around the beach getting out on the full reef is amazing. Couldn’t recommend enough.

This resort was average . Service was average too but a special thanks to Leila a waitress at the Azzuro restaurant who was very hospitable and took good care of us . Limited options of food , not that great . Fiona in the Ocean Villa was not very welcoming and hospitable . If you want food to be delivered to your room it takes about 2 hours . Everything had to be booked a day before even though it was not that great . I have booked the Ocean villa and I regretted it as there is nothing god about it except for the view . Everything was on the main island and we have to wait a long time for a ferry to the main land because it comes only every hour , so if you miss it you have to wait another hour . On the first day Fiona told us that the ferry times were fixed but the next day someone else told us otherwise . No proper changing rooms and still we are not allowed in the restaurants with swimming attire even though it’s by the pool . Ridiculous . Timings are also very strict and it makes it difficult to go around and relax . Very poor wouldn’t recommend it .

Very average stay we booked the overwater two bedroom villa for 4 nights but was a complete disaster We stayed with kids and the overwater villas are on a separate island from the mainland and we have to go to main island for every activity possible and there’s a ferry service only once and hour which is very difficulty imagine u take the ferry at 9am and u go there and u realize that u left something back in your room u have to wait for 1 hour to go back and when u get back u have to wait for 1 more hour to get back imagine it’s like a jail Food very average with a limited no of options of even a la carte They don’t serve anything post your meal timings where in u want to order post ur meal timings they have only an in room dining and no all day dining If u are staying pls don’t take the over water villas preferably select the beach villas which are one the main villas Staff hospitality is the worst they have no bloody idea of what it means and response time is very slow and have a clear lack of training They resort feels very outdated and u have to plan very meticulously if I want to stay here and if u want to relax and do it at your pace this is not the place because they are very time specific and will shut down on time Would please recheck on all bookings before u come here because they change very quickly Water activities are good but no changing rooms available there when I went there they suddenly decided to start renovation without any information and u have to leave your bags at the bar because they don’t have locker and u have to carry all ur stuff because u are staying on another island so be prepared to change at the beach and leave all ur valuables there Restaurants Azzurro Mediterranean cuisine average spread and breakfast place for the over water villa very limited options Kaani Breakfast place for the beach rooms again. Disaster poor spread and limited options no a la carte Funa Japanese cuisine only available on certain days and only a la carte food was good Overall hospitality a big minus thanks to Fiona VERDICT WONT RECOMMEND AND NO VALUE FOR MONEY AND VERY DISSAPOINTING
