Despite both of us have visual disabilities, the hotel staff made everything possible to help us overcome barriers for persons with visual disabilities. As a result, we could really enjoy many services offered at the hotel. At the same time we noticed that the hotel is accessible mostly for wheel-chair users. As an international expert in the area of human rights of persons with disabilities I strongly believe that the accessibility should be a universal concept and should cover needs of not only physically disabled persons, but also of persons with other types of disabilities. We noticed that there are no Braille marks on room doors and other facilities, open to the hotel guests. there are no menues in Braille in the hotel restaurants and bars and there are no safety evacuation instructions made available in Braille for blind and visually impaired guests. At the same time, according to the article 9 "Accessibility" of the UN convention on the rights of persons with disabilities: "2. States Parties shall also take appropriate measures: b) To ensure that private entities that offer facilities and services which are open or provided to the public take into account all aspects of accessibility for persons with disabilities; c) To provide training for stakeholders on accessibility issues facing persons with disabilities; d) To provide in buildings and other facilities open to the public signage in Braille and in easy to read and understand forms;". We have really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and we would like to express our gratitude to the hotel in the following way: As advanced Braille users, we are ready to help adopt menues, safety evacuation instructions and numbers of rooms and other public places into Braille in Kazakh, Russian and English languages. As you may know, in the Park-Inn by Radisson hotel in Nur-Sultan there are Braille signs on the room doors and other facilities, but they are not made according to the needs of guests, as those signs are not tactile, the signs are indented, which is absolutely inacceptable. That is why we offer you our help as we ourselves are end users of the accessibility means and we know how to make Braille accessible for all Braille users. This have been my Biggest Disappointment with AccorHotels so far. Being a Platinum AccorHotel Member for the last few years have been great. But i didn't got the "Feel Welcome" at my arrival at this Hotel. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT & WORST Experience ever with AccorHotels, once arrived in the room after my First Breakfast, the door was open and i caught on the spot the Cleaner Lady in the act of delving into my personal belongings that contained money from different foreign currencies..! When i saw that, i couldn’t believe it that it was real and i directly grab the Phone to call the Reception to Get the manager coming to the room ! When trying to Call, the Cleaner Lady went on her knees, try to “touch me” and was speaking in Russian, trying to apologize and insisting on me to not call the reception by even trying to unplug the cable of the Phone ! Gratefully the call went through and the Deputy Manager came to the room to sort out this terrible experience ! Only by this time, by having Lived this Bad Experience, i received a room Upgrade to a Nice Suite with the apologies on Behalf of Rixos from the Deputy Manager (by the way, Kudos to her, as at least SHE Handled this “not easy” Situation very well). As well, since i have been experiencing this situation at the hotel, only from then on, i could feel that the Staff People have been taking care of me more closely...

Check-in/check-out was super fast. My staying was at the same time with XV Euroasia Film festival, so it didn’t disturb my staying at all. The breakfast was excellent, the staff really cares about hotel guests.

Excellent hotel. Arrived early due to flight time, and had to pay an extra half-day charge to check in early, which I did think was a little excessive. Hotel is very conveniently located for city centre sightseeing. Very good breakfast each day. Well equipped room. All rooms have good views. No iron or ironing board in room as standard, but provided on request. Overall, a good experience. Disappointed to be told that, because I booked through Expedia, I cannot claim any Accor loyalty points.
