« Best Holiday Resort ever!!! »

I had checked the hotel reviews and must say our personal experience was far better. The staff at Turquoise are so attentive and family oriented that it really made a big impact. Bonzai staff too were very good and were quick in their service. The only issue we had was with the Aegean, where the staff took too long in their service or brought the food out too quickly and piled it on the table which the cat got to before us. The cat broke a glass which was not cleaned even thought people were walking through the debris about the restaurant. The staff all across the resort were very friendly and helpful, they kept the room clean, wish the bed covers were a bit cleaner as there were marks from the previous guest. Special thanks to Nabi who booked us into a beautiful room and decorated it for us with a special cake, we couldn't meet him but sincerely thank him and the other staff for making our stay so wonderful. The resort is so big and beautiful that we didn't see half of the complex, with plenty activities this is a real gem of a resort. We did not feel like leaving and would love to come back again for another stay.

All the service and house keeping staff were wonderful. However the front desk and guest relations could be more welcoming and warm. They were as if it hurt them to smile. Maybe we are used to common warm Turkish hospitality where the staff try their best to make you feel welcomed. That wasn’t how we felt with the administration team at Rixos Sungate. The location is beautiful. The hotel is huge so I thought it was understandable to neglect some parts. Aside from everything else the best feature of the hotel is their kitchen. We were not disappointed with any food we had in any restaurants in the hotel premises. Everything they cooked, baked, presented was delicious!!! We thought the organization and preparations in the background must have been perfected. We loved the food! Bravo!!!! Finally the kids club Staff were also very nice and good with the children. Our children were happy and well occupied during their club visits.

The accommodation was satisfactory, the food was very good. The front office were helpful. The idea of adding meals to the rent is fantastic. It removed the need to think about what to eat at meal times. The variety of food was superb.

The hotel is nice, food is ecxellent, polite service from staff. We liked cakes and good coffee in Pasteserie bar. Good attention from Guest Relation Service. As we was in the end of season, some entertainment was missing. I was only surprised, that some part of the hotel wasn't cleaned at all during our stay period. For example as corridor, lifts, my bathroom floor. The carpet in corridor was dirty from plastic details from the bottles, small garbage and they lied on the floor carpet all 10 days of our stay. It doesn't ruine nice momments of our stay in the hotel , but I think as Rixos name hotel you must more careful look after cleaness. No matter of all small things, we enjoyed stay in Rixos Sungate.

Rixos gave us downdeaded room instead of our booking which was King Siut with private Jackuzzi. we only found out when we went inside the room. when we informed them about wrong accomodation, they said internal communication between themselves (they blamed sunhotel) showing normal room instead of what we booked and paid. our printed voucher clearly showing correct room type but they say our voucher is wrong. we had no access to their internal communication. and if we knew this we would have booked a different hotel. same isdue for our friend which they booked same room type and had wrong room. so how sunhotel can make two seperate mistaje.this was midnight of Saturday. i even offered to pay again extra to have correct room but they said all those rooms are fully booked(which was strange as hotel seems to be 80% empty as this was off season at tge end of October). this was my second stay in Rixos but i never go back. in my eyes customer is alwsys right and tgey shoukd have accomodated us in correct room until it was sorted by agent. i had even paid extra and indicated our son as adult as i wanted to make sure he gets proper bed and not a sofa bed. in a different note, hotel and rooms look very dated and old. csrpets, bath etc were not changed since our last visit 6 years ago. reception was not responding on other isdues such as needs of a blanket and pillow for that old sofa bed. how tgey think we can sleep on sofa without a pillow and blanket!! room.keys often dont work and we had to make 3 or 4 times extra trip to reception to re program sll our 3 keys. no internal phone in tge room building so had to walk 10 minutes tp reception each time when we had key issue. staff in bars and restourant all friendly and helpfull, so these two star are only for staff. animation and night entertainment very poor. mainly recorded CD on loud speakers

« Tired rooms Some staff are rude »

Fantastic food, Good facilities, but a little tired. First room we had a strong smell of damp and was unclean. Air conditioning not very good. Some bar staff at the Lotus bar make you feel like we annoyed them particularly the one with a tattoo band around left forearm, I don't think they like surviving the English no matter how polite we where? Reception staff dismissive attitude from some.

Very nice resort, all privileges of all-inclusive stay. Rooms need some more repair to look better. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent food. Warm see and a lot of place on the beach (in October).

We stayed in the grand suite. We were offered upgrade to villa but we refused as the villa had smell of damp. Rooms were dated. Sofa in the living room was stsined. Food was good with lots of variety. Beach access was good. Overall not ideal hotel for families with children as there's not much to do.
