We truly feel that 80% of this hotel was good but a lot of room for improvement . Staff need training and need to learn English as a language with so many british guests. Our daughter has a nut allergy and this was a nightmare due to the language barrier. Food needs to be labeled for allergy and gluten sufferes. Rooms were excellent. Secret beach excellent. Overall cleanliness needs improvement.

Compared to stays at the Rixos over the past two years - our October 2018 was a major disappointment. Food choice and quality as well as drinks have deteriorated noticeably. Housekeeping service has become bad Staff enthusiasm has all but gone The ground maintenance staff continue to do a wonderful job in the gardens But since Accor have got involved, they have just turned what was a fantastic holiday destination into a very ordinary and mediocre place.

The hotel and facilities were excellent. The food in the Turquoise Restaurant was good but unless it was cooked to order was normally not hot enough and the service was slow or non-existent at times. Service in The Peoples and Secret Beach were generally good. The boat trip and Cabanas were very good and highly recommended.

Location and facilities are very good. Some staff did not seem to care about service provided and there did not appear to be any supervision in restaurants. More training and structure to restaurants would improve this

« Nice Hotel but certainly not 5 star »

Overall we had an enjoyable week, however, we were very disappointed that our Gold Accor membership was not recognised and meant absolutely nothing! The staff were very pleasant and tried very hard but were inexperienced for a published 5 star hotel. Food temperature was poor in both the fish and people’s restaurants and evening dining was noticeably not as good as lunchtime. We did however enjoy the secret beach. The boat shuttle to the beach was great, regular and good service. Azure was generally good service except on one occasion when the buffet was close due to bad weather forecast and they were unprepared for the extra demand. The evening entertainment was very good. The reception staff were not very friendly and upon check out didn’t even ask if we had enjoyed our stay. Overall a disappointing experience compared to other Rixos hotels in other countries.

« Beautiful clean hotel and grounds/facilities let down by the cold food and complete lack of service in the Turquoise restaurant »

We had a good holiday overall but it was spoilt by the lack of service and cold food in Turquoise. the staff deliberately avoided eye contact with their customers and made no offer to serve us, we had to chase them for any help none was offered by the staff. Managers seemed to walk around oblivious to this. Every other couple we spoke to completely agreed with us and it was a bit of a standing joke to be honest. we ended up taking all our meals in Peoples but this became repetitive after a while.

A beautiful hotel with breath taking views. A small majority of staff were hard working, service very sporadic and food always cold in the buffet restaurant. Management needs to continually monitor food as this is detrimental to customer health and safety. 1 of our party spent several days of her holiday with stomach pain and diahorea. If these problems were corrected we would return.

It was a pleasant stay with a few things which could be improved. Although the staff were lovely, their overall English was poor, even on Customer Relations which made getting information difficult. There were 2 issues with the room which should have been identified by the cleaners and fixed before we arrived. The food was very good but usually the hot food on the buffet was cold. The food at People's and the Secret Beach was excellent. The water pouring through the bathroom ceiling on our last night was not a pleasant experience.

lovely holiday with just a few improvements needed. Turquoise restaurant was dirty and disorganised. Holiday was made with the secret beach and peoples where the staff were excellent. Room was nice, but terrace outside never cleaned.

The staff were eexcellent especially on the secret beach. Food was very good in all restaurants and the room was always cleaned to a high standard. The hotel handled the heavy rain well issuing plastic covers and small blankets when it turned cold. Overall very good.

Once you realised that the hotel was more 4 star than 5 you relaxed into the process. The room was lovely (although there were a few decorating requirements) and the bathroom was well laid out (although there were some grouting requirements in the shower). The pool area was fantastic and the pool bar and fitness team amazing at delivering superb service. The 24 hour restaurant was great on the days and nights when the lead manager was there (he is so dedicated to delivering a great customer experience and brilliant at making it work like clockwork). Unfortunately when he was not on duty the effect was inconsistent. The buffet restaurant served amazing food and the service and ambience let it down. The fish restaurant delivered great food and chaotic service on our first experience. On our second (motivated by a voucher) there were only 4-5 tables occupied and the service was attentive. The reception team really let the side down - the welcome and departure does not leave you with positive memories and unfortunately we had an issue with our bill at the end which although was resolved (was not handled well). My husband met with Serdar (the GM) for a couple of hours during the trip to share ideas on what was great and what improvements could be made. We felt this was time well invested.

rooms lovely mirror should be above dressing table tv above fridge room wasn't cleaned or bed made up on a couple of occasions told reception they said had not to disturb sign on but it wasn't they did offer to clean room on the night we were due to fly home the next morning I said don't worry drinks were a bit hit and miss depending who was on duty at the bar fish restaurant great

A very peaceful and relaxing holiday in a stunning location. The only let down was the overall service of the staff was poor and the food choices was repetitive. The staff in the Turquoise didn't speak much English and were not very engaged. Only one type of grilled chicken and fish was available. The people's restaurant menu was exactly the same for lunch and dinner, for a 5 star one would expect a lot more choice.

Location very good. Food was ok, nothing special. Eating areas is smoking and the cats are in the eating area on tables eating food. No gluten free and poor and understand dietary requirements. Rooms ok. Bit dated as tiles coming away from walls.
