« Beautiful hotel but staff lack charm and language skills »

Almost every aspect of the hotel was amazing. The rooms were great, they were clean, the beach, the pools, the spa and the gym were incredible. The food was delicious and the entertainment great too. The hotel could improve in a few areas: We previously stayed in Hotel Forever Club in Bodrum city before coming to the Rixos and we had the most amazing animation team who would go around all day speaking to people, making them feel welcome, organising activities. I don't know if Rixos has an animation team but we didn't meet anyone from there. Only one person in the entire staff took the time to have a conversation with us, I think he was a manager in the kitchens but he said he was leaving to go to Dubai for a few months. Whoever he was he was incredible. One issue I did have with the hotel was the food. There are people with allergies that die if food is not labelled correctly and as kitchen staff do not always speak great english asking them can lead to nowhere. Please see a recent article in the news on the subject: https://news.sky.com/video/vertical-video-natasha-plane-ugc-001mp11… Food is never labelled to say if it is vegetarian or vegan and some food just says meat but does not tell you what meat it is. For religious reasons I do not eat beef and every dish with meat I had to ask someone what it is and got different answers. One person told me a dish was lamb and a second said the same dish was mixed beef and lamb. When it came to ordering drinks simple usually the cocktails were wrong, we would ask for a melon mojito and get a plain one with no flavour etc. When staff come around to take the drinks their english wasn't good enough for them to understand to say no please leave the drink I am not finished and there would always be an awkward misunderstanding. Also in the spa the signs clearly say no children in the sauna but plenty of people were bringing in noisy children which was rather annoying when you are trying to relax.

We stayed in Rixos Premium Hotels before but this time the experience was not premium. Mostly the service in the main restaurant was awful (in smoking area); the waiters try not to eye contact you, if by chance you ask one waiter to bring you something he/she never brings your drink. They don't refill your minibar, when you call and inform the guest relations they say that they already filled it without filling it. We had to ask three times for buggy service and we received it within 40 minutes. We won't be staying at Rixos Premium Bodrum for sure. But despite all these bad experiences I want to thank some waiters for their awesome hospitality and work; Mr. Hüseyin and Mr. Cuma from Zeytinaltı, Ms. Emine from main restaurant, Mr. Mustafa from Kalamata and all the waiters from main scaffolding.

First class beginning to end. Very helpful staff from reception to concierge to restaurant staff, all could not be more polite or do enough to make our stay comfortable. We requested a room move to main hotel as my parents were disabled and could not walk very far and I had a 2 year old and the doors on the villa were easy for him to open therefore a security concern. We requested a room move so once the rooms had been identified as available, the move was accommodated within 24 hours. Excellent.

« We had a nice time and were overall satisfied with our stay from Sept 10 to Sept 24 »

The staff on the whole were friendly and willing to please, however we were surprised that their English was limited and we had difficulty in communicating. The views from the hotel and the premium sea view bedrooms out to the bay were fantastic and a great start to the day. The main reception was very nice and the rooms were of a good size and décor was pleasant if only a bit tired. It was nice to see life guards on patrol. The pool was a nice size although surprisingly colder than in the sea..The bar staff and waiters all tried to please as much as possible. We had some problems with the room but was fixed very promptly which made a good impression. We dined in the Kalamata restaurant and this was disappointing and not worth the additional fee. The Cento per Cento restaurant had a much better selection and the food was of a very good standard but again not worth the additional fee and should be included in the All inclusive package even if you limit the free booking to say once a week. The cleanliness of the room was not great and needed to be improved. The floors were dirty and sometimes the glasses were not cleaned. We ran out of coffee/tea etc very quickly and had to ask for refills all the time. The fridge was restocked daily and was a nice touch we appreciated. The food overall was very good but we've had much better dining experiences in other countries where the standard was higher albeit in the same hotel rating. All the communal toilets were regularly cleaned and hygiene standards very good and the main areas were clean and tidy. The gym was of a good standard and good quality equipment. The table tennis area equipment needs to be replaced with newer tables and bats as does the table football but this facility was welcome. Would have liked the option of free pedalo's, kayak's, hobby cats (free for say up to one hour) as is the case in other Caribbean resorts we have stayed in. We are from the UK and it would be nice to have some entertainment channels in English as you did for other languages and the English speaking channels were just News Channels. As access to the rooms was difficult we appreciated the shuttle service and this was a great idea. The gardens were very well kept and looked nice.

Our general staying was really good but it really didn't start good as the person Miss Pinar at the front office/guest relation lied to us about they are not having any standard room left and tried to upsell the more expensive room to us which was family room, we didn't have any bookings at Rixos as we came from England and we had a hotel booked in Bodrum elsewhere but when we turned up at our initial hotel we have been told that the hotel was closed for the whole season and we decided to come to Rixos and when Miss Pinar found out that we were desperate for a room she just tried to get an advantage of this and lied us about not having a standard room then we went away and called Rixos head office to check if they will say the same thing and then we found out actually there are a standard room available so we booked it over the phone and came back to the Hotel but never seen this lady on our stay anymore as I wanted to ask her why that was necessary to do this? Our holiday and everything was perfect apart from this lady's behavior this is the reason why I gave 7 stars as I think these kind of people should not be working for a name like Rixos as they might in the future affect the reputation of the company if they keep doing that to everyone. Very welcoming, lovely room and views from the balcony. Restaurants really good and the buffet has a huge selection of food to suit any palate. Entertainment team (Tatiana, Harun and Envert to name a few) great and evening entertainment excellent. Spa offers excellent services at very reasonable prices. We look forward to returning next year.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the initial service on arrival was excellent. Our room was wonderful. The best view ı have ever had from a hotel room. Unfortunately the service from then on was only average certainly not 5 star. Most of the staff’s english was very poor. The drinks were horrible. Even white wine and champagne was served luke warm.

We enjoyed to the top. Thank you. There was no problem with our stay. Service was fast and efficient at all units. Just as a footnote, for your future references, you may leave the soft drink service at the meals to the customers for the sake of efficiency both for the employees and customers. Because due to work overload at the waiters/waitresses, they sometimes may forget your soft drink orders. And, your Olive Fest banner should not have been stuck on the Halikarnas Restaurant glass panels blocking the view to the pool.
