Overall good experience. The staff were good and helpful and really appreciated Mr Honey and his bubbly attitude and helpfulness in the mornings when he came to tidy the rooms. Disappointed at the lack of restaurants to dine at especially as the hotel is so far at the end of the western crescent. Mini bar and general food pricing is excessive in my opinion. The rooms were not sufficiently sound proof to drown the sound of music coming from the pool and beach areas.

It was very enjoyable, staff were very helpful, staff at the beach were always at hand to help and serve us when wanting anything. Myself and all my family enjoyed our stay. We were a party of ten and we all felt that everyone was very welcoming. Rooms were beautiful, beach bar staff and fish restaurant staff were amazing, as was the food. We were a party of five couples and we all felt the same.

wasn't too impressed at check - in as nothing was ready for our arrival so we were asked to go to dinner and when we returned after approx. 2hrs we were asked to wait again!!! BUT apart from that everything else was exceptional i.e. rooms, food, service, pools, beach, but above all the staff they went above and behond especially Sandpreet and all the beach staff .

We recently stayed at the Rixos for 10 nights Ultra All Inclusive for our honeymoon & I wanted to leave a review. We flew Monday evening with Virgin Airways & arrived at hotel 10am Dubai time on Tuesday, when we arrived we were told our room wasn’t available for check in until 3pm. Our luggage was taken to the spa, we were able to enjoy breakfast & then go to the spa & change into pool/beach clothing so we could enjoy the day at the pool while waiting for our room. We went back to reception at approx 15:35pm where we was told our room still wasn’t available and could we go back at 4:30pm, We were exhausted and really would have liked to of had our room earlier but was told that reception was sorting a nice room as they knew it was our honeymoon, so obviously because Rixos was arranging something special we had no issue in waiting a little longer. We went back at 4:30pm as instructed and was shown to our room, there was a bottle of non alcoholic grape, a lovely cake saying happy honeymoon & the bed had been decorated with rose petals, as stated we were absolutely shattered as had been up since 7am on Monday so well over 2 days with no sleep. Upon inspection of the room we discovered that we had been given a twin deluxe room (single beds pushed together) over looking the biggest palm tree near the shisha bar (not a particularly nice view from the balcony) this was disappointing as we were told that something special would be arranged for us. Now I am not one to complain so went to reception early the next morning (Wednesday) & politely asked if there was anywhere else we could be moved too, explained we were on our honeymoon & that we had been given two single beds pushed together, and that the view wasn’t what we were expecting, without any hesitation we was told that it was no issue and they would move us to a different room. We was asked to pack all belongings & was told that they would be collected by staff and left in a secure place, we were told that we would need to wait until 3pm before gaining access to our new room. We went back as instructed at 3pm to collect room keys and was shown to a double deluxe room with a view of the sea. While I appreciate that this was a lovely room, we met two other couples whist staying at the Rixos and both couples were also on there honeymoon they had been given room upgrades. In the 10 nights which we stayed at Rixos our room was decorated just twice with rose petals, which I found disappointing again. I think Rixos is a wonderful hotel & the staff are a real credit, however I just felt like more could have been done to make us feel a little more special especially being our honeymoon. We chose Rixos based on its great reputation & have previously stayed at Rixos hotels in the past (Egypt) We booked the Italian on the 22nd September and upon booking with guest relations they made a note to the restaurant that it was our honeymoon, upon arrival & being greeted we were seated, I noticed a beautiful table in the corner which had been decorated with rose petals & candles, but we was sat on the table next to this, the food at the Italian is marvellous and staff very attentive & work really hard to ensure they go above and beyond, however again I feel like more could have been done with regards to having a table decorated like the one next to us, we were in the restaurant until very late that evening & no one was shown to the beautiful table with rose petals and candles, you would have thought being our honeymoon that something special would have been done for us? We also booked a reservation for the steakhouse for the 25th September, we know that you receive 200 AED per person towards dinner and we’re entirely happy to pay any additional charges for any extras. Let me start by saying, the meal was honestly really disappointing, starters fantastic, mains were horrendous, so bad that both my partner & I refused them and sent them back, the manager did come over & did apologies & offered to cook again but both meals were so bad we were put off. I would lie to stay a huge thank you to ‘T’ (we shortened his name) he was a true asset to Rixos & you should be very proud to have such a wonderful well mannered member or staff he worked at the ‘I-Chill’ nothing was too much bother, absolute great guy & for us he truly made our holiday/honeymoon. Rixos is a fabulous hotel & I would definitely go back, but personally expected more since this was our honeymoon. Upon checking out we was presented with a bill for any extra’s we had while staying, this was an issue as the bill was wrong! We had to stand at reception stating what we had and what should be removed, for example the Italian both me & my husband had chosen a meal each with come with a complimentary side dish, we each chose one, my partner had mash & I had asparagus, Hotel claimed that you don’t get complimentary side dish with the meal & that these are chargeable, so we asked them to go get a menu whereby it clearly stated that main meal you could chose a side complimentary, then the lady didn’t know how to remove these from the bill, eventually all got sorted but I would suggest to anyone staying to pay their room deal the evening before they leave as we were waiting for transfer and didn’t want to miss.

Everything was ok, staff was very nice, food was good, What i did not like it was that our sink and bathtub were clogged. I could only sleep with ear plugs because I had the room to the inner courtyard, where the clients stood at the terrace until late at night and were laughing.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I would’ve given a 10, but was disappointed with the service at the pool bar, plus we had to constantly go and get our own drinks due to the lack of waiters which was disappointing, perhaps a manager should be installed to oversea this area.

We just wish it was more affordable for our family of 5 as we couldn’t afford to bring the children as well but would love to return in the future to share a wonderful experience with them. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay however there were a few things we didn’t like. The bedroom only had a small hanging space but absolutely no draws to put your clothes and underwear, so had to leave some of our things in our suitcases for the duration of the stay. The beds directly around the pool no matter how early you got there had towels left by guests on them to reserve them who then didn’t turn up to the bed until mid day making it impossible to get one especially when they reserved up to 6 beds! I don’t expect this in a 5* hotel in Dubai and the policy should be u can’t claim a bed by placing a towel on it and not physically being there! We ate in the steak restaurant twice and both times they only had one steak from the menu and finally we didn’t always get our drinks we asked for in the restaurant and shisha lounge. Other than that all was fine thank you
