This is going to be a lengthy review as I feel it would not be right to take a moment to personally recognize some great members of the Rixos staff! First off, we had a wonderful experience at the Rixos. From booking until check-out their service, hospitality and professionalism was top-notch! We stayed for 8 days and what I loved most is how the staff made us feel like we truly were at home and a part of family. Many thanks to Ganga and Islam at the front desk. (Forgive me if I spelled any names wrong). Javed was awesome! Always making sure everything with our stay was to expectation and he was wonderful with my kids, bringing smiles to their faces. Geoffrey was too kind, remembering us by name. It is amazing to me that with all the people that visit the Rixos, they take the time to know you personally. My son, was doted on by everyone  my daughter was a little princess and they both just loved the attention  While there, my sister slipped (her fault) and hurt her knee and everyone was beyond helpful and accommodating. Esphan, the restaurant manager took care of us making sure my sister had food sent up to her when she had trouble walking. Absolutely loved Su Mon and Moses! While I didn’t get everyone’s name, there was not one Rixos staff member that I encountered that was not just a delight to speak with. THANK YOU ALL!!!!! As far as the resort itself. BEAUTIFUL!!! ROOM: We stayed in the Superior Suite. I have nothing bad to say about the room. It was spacious, amazing views. Clean, beautiful looking and comfortable. DINING: I am a foodie and part of the reason we chose this resort was because of the food. Dubai is quite expensive and we wanted a good selection of foods and Rixos did not disappoint. We chose the ultra-inclusive package that covered all of our food and drinks. The only thing that I was surprised with was that the ultra-inclusive did not include room service so the first night we arrived late and we were tired from our long travel day that we just wanted to shower eat and sleep so I ended up paying for the food the first night. They do have the 24 hours place to eat, but its little cakes and pastries. Obviously not a deal breaker, just something for someone to be aware of. LOCATION: This hotel is situated at the end of the palm, nice and secluded. The drawback is that there is no convenience to this location. You have to take a taxi out to shop or to site see or if you choose to eat something else. The hotel does offer a shuttle, first come first serve and when I tried they were already booked up so we ended up paying for a taxi. This hotel definitely does not get as much traffic as I see with other hotels and I LOVED that about this place because I didn’t feel like I was constantly in one big tourist spot. For me, taking the shuttle or taxi was worth the seclusion. I personally wanted to get away from all of the busy chaos. ACTIVITIES: Another main reason I chose this hotel was because it is extremely kid friendly. Their kids club is great. They offer something all throughout the day, daily for the kids to do from magic shows, to robotic, archeology, cooking and much more! This was great. ALL of the water activities motorized and non-motorized activates are for a charge. If I had to say something was disappointing I would say this would have been the one. I have stayed at a few all-inclusive resorts and typically the non-motorized sports are free of charge, but not here. The activities were pretty pricey and even were in increments of 15 or 30 min. I didn’t see anyone during my stay with the sports. POOLS/BEACH: The pool was never crowded and very nice. Beach was beautiful. It was cooler than usual during my stay, but we enjoyed both, nonetheless. We are planning to go back next year and as it stands we are looking to return to the RIXOS. If I could suggest anything, I would say maybe include some of the non-motorized sports in the inclusive package or possibly a voucher or two. Lastly, provide a little more variety of food at Istanbul to eat outside of dinning hours. OVERALL 5 STARS.

What a splendid experience we enjoyed. The Hotel also was excellent. We were so delighted to upgraded to a premium room to celebrate our 20th anniversary and we received a bottle of bubbly and a special anniversary cake We were greeted by a wonderful man call Javid who was highly customer focused and made us fell most welcomed The quality of the hotel also was excellent and customer focused service from all the staff could not be faulted. The quality and presentation of the food in all restaurants could not be faulted. The choice was overwhelming particularly the Turkish brunch event was spectacular. Well done to all. All waiters and Stewards displayed excellent customer focus I would particularly like to mention Feruza who presided over the cabana rental and complimentary towel service in a most professional friendly and customer focused manner. Thank to Feruza. Also the three ladies on the entertainment centre by the pool Alena, Mariya and Eugenia, who were so customer focused, particularly Alena who was quite wonderful, supportive and encouraging to both of us We have been to the Emirates and Dubai in particular many times. This was quite the best value for money hotel we have experienced to date. We will definitely choose the Rixos brand for all future holiday destination. Despite first night room issue, overall experience extremely enjoyable from check in trough breakfasts to relaxed time on beach up to dinners. Visits in gym, treatment in SPA super nice experience. SPEACIAL thank to service in restaurant Aqua & more and especially Mr. Sushant he made our 3 dinners memorable. Hotels and restaurant´come and go, but service stay and this young gentlemen really knows and value service, absolutely top class service. Room service did not work as it should. Towels missing, minibar not filled etc. In buffet restaurang waiters forgot to bring the drinks. In grill there was sometimes over one hour waiting. In pool area waiters forgot to bring the orders Overall the staff was very friendly but not very professional. Cleaners were very friendly and good. The service in ’pool reception’ was perfect. Kids area was under construction and noone mentioned when making the booking. Room (family suite) was smaller than promised. In the balcony kind could fall down because the railing of the balcony ended 15 -20 cm before the wall.

There were multiple issues whilst staying at this hotel. Check in was awful, the receptionist didn’t seem to have a clue about any of your services and told us at 10pm at night there was nowhere to eat in the hotel and we’d have to have a pizza in our room yet in actual fact the Shisha bar served food until approx 1am which we later found out. She didn’t show us where anything in the hotel was or explain anything. She basically wanted to shove us up in our room for the night which is totally unacceptable. We had paid for a junior suite, for 3 adults and I had communicated with the hotel prior to arrival who knew this. It was a trip for our 40th birthdays. We were given a room that had no balcony or terrace, overlooked the car park and also had only 1 bed made up. I was furious, we were basically shoved in a room which I highly doubt was even a junior suite and it had also not been made up for purpose. This is no way a 5 star welcome. After a lot of complaining finally a lovely man Tolga took over and arranged for us to have our room moved. We finally fot given an actual junior suite but this still wasn’t really the sea view I would have expected and paid for. I believe we were not being given the prime junior suites overlooking the pool and sea as these were definitely being reserved for other nationalities. I also had to sleep on a futon for the 4 nights I was there. As a full paying adult in a 5 star hotel I would have expected a full sized and proper bed to sleep in, I am not a child and at full price this is a disgusting way to treat a guest. The night manager did call us to ask for feedback but by this time it was 2am and we were trying to unpack and wanted to sleep. I asked if he would mind contacting us the next day at a more suitable time and not 2am, we never heard from him again. Nobody showed us how to work the crazy electric system in the room, the air Con didn’t work in the bedroom and one of the sinks frequently blocked. We didn’t have enough items in our mini bar for 3 adults, there was only 2 of everything and at no time during our stay was the maxi bar ever filled up. We constantly had to ask for more towels and and no point did we receive a turn down service which is the sort of normal service you would receive in even a 4 star hotel let alone a 5 star hotel in Dubai! We were given a cabana as we had a junior suite, this should have meant we had a bit of luxury and a bit of looking after but no! We had to go to the bar or ask for serve every time we wanted a drink. Nobody ever can to ask us if they could do anything for us. One of your waiters told us that the cabanas usually have buzzers but you’d taken these away about 3 weeks ago because it had rained.....why have they not been put back?? Again, this is NOT 5 star service! We had breakfast only one in the buffet as this was a poor experience also. We sat down and got our food. Asked a waiter 3 times to bring 2 teas, a coffee and some water. The table next to us sat down, a table of 7 and they all got their drinks before us (again, they were another nationality, we were being ignored again) when we finally received our drinks we had finished eating and we still had to wait for a cup as there were only 2 on the table! It’s just dreadful, I couldn’t get over how bad the service was. Dinner at the Italian - I asked 3 times for my steak to be cooked a certain way only for it to arrive and for it not to have been cooked as I had requested so had to send it back. The side orders of mash potato were cold. By the time they came back out we’d eaten most of our meal! We had to ask for drinks, in my opinion in a 5 star resort (and all inclusive!) when your wine glass is empty there should be somebody automatically coming to top up your glass....not here! We asked for the bill and left, the bill was incorrect. We had been charged for 6 glasses of wine but had only had 4 and charged for our side dishes which should have been included. It was a terrible experience, we also witnessed a child fall down the gap between the floor and the window. This is a seriously dangerous part of the building and you really do need to make some changes there. Later that night I tried to get a tea from the patisserie, they had run out of tea bags so I suggested perhaps they go and find some?? I as told I could make tea in my room....oh here we go again, what great service. Yes that’s, I’ll go and serve myself yet again! The next morning (7 hours later) I went back to the patisserie for 3 teas, guess what?? The tea bags had still not been replenished. Your food and beverage managers should be on top of things like this it’s terrible! I asked for the last chocolate croissant only to be told this was being given to another lady that arrived at the counter AFTER me, yet again, she was not from the UK like myself....this was at least the 3rd time I received under par service and witnessed better service for your other nationality guest. I asked for someone to see if they could get some more of these croissants to be told I could go to the buffet and get them myself. Absolutely abysmal service, it was a joke. All in all this was a totally underwhelming holiday that we had saved about 4 years for and for a special occasion. I don’t know why we were treated so badly but this was not the service we deserved or expected. I wanted to enjoy this holiday so much and based on how this holiday went I was about to book either this or another Rixos Hotel either in RAK or perhaps Abu Dhabi for myself, my husband and son but not I just can not justify spending all that money as if we had this sort of service as a family it would totally ruin our holiday. There were many other issues, some which may have been overlooked if overall we had a good service but this hotel and majority of the staff are well under par and absolutely not 5 star.

The customer service throughout our stay was very good. All staff were friendly and could not do enough to help. The room was comfortable. The only possible criticism was the noise outside our room (1118) at the Shisha lounge until about 1am and early morning whilst cleaning.

Overall the stay was great. Unfortunately the first 4 hours of checking-in was spent watching repairmen rip open the ceiling A/C vent (getting drywall dust everywhere). The A/C fan was vibrating and very noisy so it had to be fixed. The Manager offered either a free buffet or some beer & wine in compensation. The facilities were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom lighting needs to be brighter - it was very dim over the sink area. The cost of breakfast and buffet is very high, but perhaps that's just normal for Dubai. I was disappointed that on my last day when I wanted to rent a kayak, the rental shop was closed.

Overall good, but given we were staying with 3 young children we should have been told that the whole kids area would be undergoing renovation during our stay and we could have decided whether to stay elsewhere.
