« Not bad... but »

I booked the hotel via accorhotels.com. BUT somehow the 10% member discount didn't apply to my reservation... I told that while checking in... Then I was told that the discount would be counted but only for the second night... Then I was told that the first night would be counted with the member discount as well... But now I see that only one night was discounted... Unfortunately And the day before arrival my card was charged (preauthorized) with the price of the stay for 2 nights... while it was not stated in the accorhotels.com during booking... that is not good... I was counting on these money... I had the right to cancel my reservation with no charge...

« A nice stay, sadly shortened due to personal reasons »

I had booked a stay of 3 nights (01-04 September 2018) for my first ever trip to Serbia. However due to a family emergency I had to cut short my trip and leave after spending only 1 night in Mercure Belgrade. But I really liked the hotel. A very cozy property in a superb location! As an Accor|Club member, I was given an upgrade. Also the room had been kept ready on arrival, so there was no waiting. The room was nice, although not really spacious. Very clean & functional. The bed was super comfortable. Air conditioning was quite efficient. Bathroom was nice & clean. The staff were really nice, especially the cheerful young girls at the reception. Staff in the restaurant acted a little grumpy, though. Breakfast was OK. Not very lavish, but it was good to have a lot of freshly prepared stuff. I simply wish that I could've stayed the full length of my originally planned stay and enjoyed the Belgrade & Mercure experience to the full!

Your hotel is extremely well located, close to all major tourist sights as well as the main pedestrain street of the city (Knez Mihailova). I would suggest that you mention in the hotel description that it is easy to get to/from the airport with the A1 bus. My room, located on the last floor, was comfortable, quiet and provided all I need: very good bedding, a safe, a small fridge and plenty of storage space. All the staff members I met were friendly and very professional. Last but not least, I really appreciated the breakfast, many choices, good quality food and especially eggs and fresh orange juice can be prepared on request.

Comfortable and clean hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. Nothing was ever a problem. The only thing I did not understand was the fact that although the room has a stocked minibar, no glasses are readily available for the consumption of beverages.

« Disappointing compared with previous years, especially considering the huge increase in the price of staying at the hotel in 2018. »

The 20 per cent increase in the price of staying at the hotel this year was not matched by a 20 per cent increase in services provided. The dining room experience was particularly poor and did not reach a 4 star standard. The only real change was a definite improvement in consistent access to wifi in the rooms. Recepcia has always been a strongpoint of Excelsior and remains so; the cleaning of rooms is also very good but will be improved by giving sobarice a checklist of tasks to complete so that some matters are not overlooked - for example a complete set of three towels. Accor have spent many thousands of dollars on making expensive changes to the reception/lobby area of the hotel but none of these changes was necessary - indeed they have not improved the appearance or utility of that area. For example, why remove the clocks? The sofa is uncomfortable to sit on and it's cover shows the dirt very clearly. And what a waste of money to add another set of identical room numbers to the perfectly adequate set that were already in place. Of course the "old" numbers could not be removed without completely refurbishing all the doors. Accor really need to invest in a ramp for guests to wheel their suitcases from recepcia to the lift. Because most airlines now limit passengers to one suitcase in the hold, it is difficult for many people to carry bulky suitcases weighing 21 kilos up the steps.

1. Great Location 2. Stylish boutique type hotel 3. Bath tub in the bathroom without shower is very impractical. 4. There is a bright blue ambient light on the air conditioner that is very annoying in the night 5. There are steps from the lobby level to the elevator without any ramp making it difficult to to carry bags.

« A nice place in the middle of a beautiful city »

It is a small hotel overlooking the Pionirski park - within 10 minutes walk from the main railway/bus station and the A1 bus to the airport. The room was spacious, clean and well-equipped, hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. This hotel met all my expectations of the Mercure brand. I will definitely come back if I travel to or via Belgrade.

Had room only tarrif. Large room with very comfortable bed. The only downside was that it was an interconnecting room and my "neighbors" were extremely noisy from 0400 on my last morning.

I am there the second time but I stay in another hotel next time. People are friendly but the room in the breakfast room is not enough, and my first room was very light with a big light canal in the middle of the room. The second time (now) I could make the room dark with curtains but I could hear every noise outside of my room.

We just spent 5 nights here and used this as our base to visit Belgrade and it’s surrounding areas. We booked a deluxe room and was given a large quiet corner room. It is very comfortable, airy , clean, with a small sitting area and a writing desk, with separate toilets and bathroom . The air conditioning works perfectly , which is appreciated in the hot humid summer heat. The front desk staff are incredibly polite and helpful . When you are traveling in a new country , this is important . The breakfast and bar staff are courteous and get to know what our favorite drinks are. Housekeeping - the room is always clean and immaculate. Thanks to these staff, our stay and holiday was so much more enjoyable. The location is perfect . Close to the park and Parliament Building. Walking distance to Republic Square and cafes / restaurants. We walked everywhere. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Belgrade.

« Ok hotel but old, and TERRIBLE elevator »

First impression, it has a tiny reception, check-in went smooth. Then up the stairs to the elevator, which was the slowest elevator I ever seen in a hotel. And it's tiny, can barely fit two persons with luggage. Got the the deluxe room which was ok but it's outdated, seriously need some renovation.
