« Beautiful hotel, but service falls short. »

We found the hotel and facilities very nice, but the service was not always great. We were staying in the villas and had to call all the time for people to clean the pool (we couldn't swim for several days because it was so dirty), to fix the harman (it was not working 70% of our stay), to refresh the fruit or bring the daily amenities, etc, etc. Being used to going to top hotels in the world we were a bit surprised about this, especially in the villas which were supposed to be the most exclusive.

Everything was perfect! Very good food, everyone was very nice and helpful. The cooking classes at « La Ferme » are great with very nice Chefs. Thanks to the great boxe/fitness coach Amine who motivates you and give you a perfect training! Also, great kids club with very nice ladies. Our only regret was to leave!

This was our second stay at the wonderful Fairmont Royal Palm. Nervous about the change from Leading Hotels to Accor, was quickly proven as unnecessary. The staff, from the front entrance, to check-in, restaurant and bar service, concierge was simply fantastic. So friendly, so accommodating and helpful and always with a smile. It will always remain one of our favorite spots to relax, unwind and enjoy. I could mention many within the hotel by name, from the Director of Sales, to the Concierge, to the F & B staff, but the list would be long and it would be unfair to the ones not mentioned.....

Everything was great but the last night i was aboit to dine at the restaurant by the pool and a waiter and old me that i couldn’t because the was wearing a bermuda short... the way he talked to me was not good at all and upset me a lot. I talked to the dutymanager that night... he listened to me but no reaction.

« Great place but unreasonable food prices »

I like very much the Fairmont brand and use to it in America. So I decided to try it in my home country. The hotel decor and rooms are great. I was very disappointed by the food and prices. Charging full price for children breakfast and 300 Dirhams per kid to eat sliced of tomato is just outrageous particularly in Morocco and the taste is not at the level. Even in Hawaï prices were not as high. As an example, a drink in Comptoir with all the animations cost less than a drink in the hotel bar. This is damageable to your reputation and at least for me give a very bad taste as if you wanted to take advantage that we are far from downtown. We are in Morocco!!!

« Some very good points and some surprisingly not good »

Positive points : amazing environment , very nice staff , good breakfast buffet , good quality price for room + breakfast Negative points : - no one came to help us with suitcases when we arrived and parked at the parking ; the staff with electric cart saw us but he left empty from the car park without even asking if we might need help - fitness opens only from 7.00 am ?? - sometimes nobody at the reception?? - lack of staff - restaurant is over priced : 120 MAD for fresh pineapple juice ??? - from closure of L'oliveraie to opening of Caravane restaurant , if you are hungry , you are forced to eat snack ?

The property is beautiful, however, the service that we are use to was absent, e.g. no welcome although our information was provided in advance, the bed count needed was not provided until after several requests going into the evening, and the suite had both design and construction issues in the form of loose/broken tiles in the master bath and lack of appropriate screening from bathroom to the guest bedroom which rendered the bathroom unusable for private activities. Disappointing visit.

« Combo of more bad than good »

The experience was a combo of 'good' and 'disappointing'. The good things were the location, the wonderful grounds and excellent pools, the absolute tranquillity and the great bathroom. The bad things were the horrible mattress (hard, old and deformed), the non-willing or unable management to organize a standard functioning mattress which would have secured a good night sleep, the mediocre food, the broken toaster at breakfast during 4 consecutive days, an arrogant front-desk service during check-out who was unable to say 'sorry' for sizeable mistake in trying to overcharge, etc. Since the hotel is not cheap and we love and know Fairmont Hotels from other places, Marrakech won't see us again. There are better choices in town.

Excellent hotel. Our three nights stay should have been perfect if We had a good night sleep for two nights. The room is too hot. I’m disappointed that I have to complain several times before it’s been resolved.

I have stayed in a variety of resorts and luxury hotels, and this was among the best I have ever stayed at. The service was excellent, the facilities were fantastic, and the rooms were amazing. The staff offered very thoughtful amenities for our honeymoon. The dining options were somewhat limited due to Ramadan, but the Iftar buffet was fantastic.

Overall the hotel is lovely, amazing grounds and the majority of staff were nice. However the room service menu lacked massively, restaurant food took a long time to arrive and was always cold when it did. One night we went outdoors to eat and my husband was sick the next day! The Kids club facility is amazing but the workers tended to do their own thing. One day we went in and they had left their straighteners ON, on the large seating area with a big glass mirror balancing. Extremely dangerous for my inquisitive 3 year old. We had a stunning large 2 bed villa but ants were inside the fridge and although we did call and it got cleaned three times they were everywhere within an hour. It’s our second time staying at this hotel and unfortunately we would probably look elsewhere next.

We appreciate additional observations to help us improve. We also assure you that strict cleaning and regular pest control is done frequently however mother nature sometimes poses certain challenges on us. We will ensure the right chemicals and more intensive cleaning of the fridges are revisited for higher level of control in the rooms.
