I received a "romantic" overnight stay here as a present for my Silver Wedding. My wife and i really appreciated the room being decorated with roses and rose petals. Made us feel like newly-weds… The staff were friendly and the evening meal was quite enjoyable. Breakfast was part of the package so we didn`t have to pay extra, and it was excellent. A wide variety to suit everyones breakfast needs.

The location is not actually in the center, but quite close to the train station to reach the Main Train Station (Hbf), yet you could easily ask the front office for taxi to go to either train station. The Front Office service is excellent, despite they're hectic after checking in a large group. Got a usual priviledge as a Gold Accor member. Loved the spacey terrace near the dining room. The best spot I found in the hotel. Loved the room. It was very homey. Really recommended.

I was looking for a cheap hotel to stay in because of working far from home. What I found was a surprise: a real american (cheap) hotel, which is very friendly, comfortable and relaxing. Definitely not a place for romantic getaways, but it you want to test after a date work, it is quite ideal:-)

The hotel in the silent place with internet access problems. No restaurants and supermarkets around. Cleaning service a bit lazy. Personnel is very friendly but some of them do not speak english. The worst Mercure hotel I've ever stay.

The restaurant was really good, rooms and hallways need an update, the beds are a bit narrow bathroom OK. It would be a good idea if you got a small fitness center. It is good when you are on a business trip.

Arrived mid afternoon for a two day stay. At check-in I was asked to pay the whole stay right away, however the bill can only be picked up the evening before check-out. Wired - never happened to me even fir a one night stay at this hotel. One does not feel as a trustworthy guest. Rooms are standard. I checked the bed and found that the bedlinen was very dirty. So dirty this can not be overlooked by any decent housekeeper. I called down to change the linen ( well - tried to. The is no indication on the phone which number to dial for reception etc. And the information folder was available in pieces. Finally found the number on the emergency sheet). Talked to reception, they told me they would change the linen as soon as a second person is available as housekeeping had left. It took 15min for them to come, change and apologize. Breakfast was ok, nithing to write home about though, waiters, also in the bar, were very friendly. After the bad exoerience with housekeeping I did opt for no housekeeping for the night and hope the points get credited. Again - this time not up to Standard, i had better stays there.

At my arrival, I was given a key to a room that was already occupied.I was lucky that the guest in the room kept calm when I opened the door...After getting my key to an unoccupied room, I found a underwear of the formal guest at the door knob...The receptionist apologised for these accidents.Look forward for improvements.

not 4 stars worth. wifi did not work well. very slow.had to ask for a additional login code. airco in room broken .staff did not care. i filed a complaint to management. no response at all.baddd. also no menu card available in room.When calling restaurant the clerk had to explain on phone what options there is to order to room.. restaurant looks like a 70s decorated restaurant and like I walked into a 2 star hotel in Slovenia or Albania..

I am sure you understand that for ecological reasons it is only working at outside temperatures above 21°C. Obviously you did not like the design of our restaurant. here we are planning some modifications to make it look more contemporary. Staff is very helpful, polite and friendly, both at the reception and who served breakfast. Room was clean and smartly furnitured. Breakfast was fresh, whole wheat pastry, good coffee...etc. and reasonable selection. Coffee machine with 2 free capsules, free bottle of water in the room was a huge plus, although it would have been better to have them refilled on the second day. We had dinner there too, got served quickly, food was fresh and good quality too. Good for short business trip, by car or by taxi as public transport connection is not ideal.

Regret this was not what I expected from a Mercure Group hotel. Not so much that there were problems, but that nothing was done about them. 1. English language directions to the hotel, using public transport are confusing, or wrong. An hours walk through residential streets at night (carrying the suitcase to avoid noise whilst people slept). 2. The room fridge (#322) did not work. Room make-up staff advised the next morning, Nothing done. A hand-written note left with reception on the second morning. Again, nothing done. 3. The room a/c did not work. 4. The window would not open. Not sure if jammed, or nailed shut. 5. The shower curtain 'end stop' was missing. The entire curtain came off in my hands. 6. Each five minutes approx, there was a buzzing sound, lasting 5 seconds. No obvious source, or reason. 7. The tv had two english language channels only - one being BBC world service. No internal systems, or english film channels. 8. The hotel is not 'only one hour' from the exhibition centre. With connections (needs both bus and tram) it takes effeectively two hours, each way. 9. There are no shops, restaurants or cafes close by. There is an Italian restaurant (quite good) about 20 minutes walk away. 10. The hotel restaurant is reasonable, with large portions, but it is not possible to transfer a tab between the restaurant and the bar (all in the same place). The natural wish to sit watching the bar tv sports channels, after a meal, means two separate tabs. Not logical, when UK credit and debit cards have a double whammy each time you use them overseas. 11. Upon check-out, the computer would no longer recognise that the room and breakfasts were pre-paid by the company, Staff almost insisted that my personal card be debited. When shown the pre-payment print-out, it was reluctantly accepted, but dunning emails to myself and the company then reached the office. I still do not know if this has been sorted!

The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful, and the room comfortable and modern. You had to pay for the internet connection, and the connection was a bit unsteady. It would have been nice if internet connection had been included in the price of the room.

staff:friendly food:adequate location:inconvenient (almost 50 euros taxis from Dusseldorf airport) room:good wifi:terrible (0.5mbps - would be just as good to print and mail what I need to send - attempted to watch videos from international news service but after 2 minutes 10 seconds to buffer & watch only 20 seconds of video, I quit) recommend:only describe, let your friends make their own decision 0.5 mbps is quality from 10+ years ago. wifi is unusable with demands of internet usage now. 2 is not adequate scoring

Good service and facilities. Breakfast was worth the money, price was very reasonable. Some of the hotel staff had a little trouble with English, but were accommodating enough to make up for it. Only complaint I have is that ironing was not available (the device was broken / empty? employee was unclear). In-room reception was sometimes lacking A little too far from city center, but still pretty good

Nice hotel, easy to reach, rooms are ok. Bathroom bit outdated. Breakfast has a good diverse offer. All in all a good balance in price for quality. Only parking costs of 9 euro are very high.

Friendly efficient checkin thank you Aylin, all group were able to acces their rooms quickly and make use of the menu in the restaurant which looks good value for money. Clean modern bedroom with posh tassimo coffee pod machine, I prefer a kettle but does the job. Love this bed, dead comfy and looking forward to a long deep sleep, quiet too not aware of noise from other guests. I would recommend Park Inn Dusseldorf Sud Free and eady to access Bit ugly but near the motorway so good location. Dont know not had breakfast nd too shattered for evening meal Calm interior, all laundry rcks outside the lift on floor 3 mafr it feel like a laundry when I first artived which is why I didnt mark higher. Only thing id prefet was a double bed but v comfortable mone the less Good standard, clean, comfortable, friendly, deskin room useful to do business from.

Local area is not really pleasant, train a bit far off. Hotel offers parking, but parking on the street is available to. The hotel from the outside does not look attractive at all and fits the environment. The lobby and breakfast/restaurant are very good. Staircase and corridors again sad. The room spacious and tidy, the bathroom too much plastic.

Everything in the hotel was great except for the lady at the reception telling us that we can have a breakfast with our room reservation and then having to pay 36EUR for it + another 9EUR for parking! This is unacceptable treatment. If I had not been told that the breakfast is included, I would not have it otherwise. Very very unpleasant experience. I know I should have checked my booking more in detail BUT if the hotel staff tells you that you HAVE BREAKFAST INCLUDED, then I expect that it really is included!!! 18 EUR per person for a little breakfast we had is really really exagerrated!!! Comfortable rooms, clean rooms and showers are a basic requirement but what stands out to a frequent traveler is the customer care. Frequent guests should have permanent free wi-fi I would like to point out the following customer-facing front desk agents who have treated me excellently during this week's stay: Melanie and Aylin. For sure there are others more in the background that do a good job but I wanted to name these 2 as they went the extra mile during my stay.
