Reception staff greeted very friendly and professional. Rooms clean and good size. Restaurant staff were extremely busy but kept their cool - you could possibly do with more dinner restaurant staff. Food very good hot and tasty. Gym facilities adequate. Breakfast very good All in all a very good service.

The hotel is overall pretty good. However, the staff quality can be variable, some excellent, some quite dismissive. Its also pot luck whether or not the air con will work in any given room.

Room and bed comfortable. Decent biscuits. Shower water pressure could be better. Breakfast OK, but breakfast room busy and layout could be improved, as customers tend to be concentrated in the same areas. Bar was shut, when we arrived (about 12.30am). Perhaps could be open a bit longer for those arriving on late flights.

The table in the room was in an awkward place being at the bottom of the bed. I left a notebook at the hotel, which has no value to anyone except me and yet after ringing up asking about it, it was not found.

« Unfortunately, universal design was not used so some aspects of the room were inaccessible »

Fine, other than the lack of accessibility. The door was very heavy and hard to push. The toilet flush was very poorly chosen. I have rheumatoid arthritis and managed to push it only twice, by using both hands and a lot of pain. Weak hands results not only from disability but also with aging, so this poor design choice affects a lot of customers. Universal design would have Accor hotels selecting among the many large flat push buttons (which can be pushed with the arm not fingers) or another design. I appreciate the front desk personnel asking about my stay and taking my input seriously. However, the suggestion of the 'disabled' room is not a solution because they are usually designed for wheelchair users and thus the height of many items are too low for those with othe disabilities.

« Good place to stay for an early flight »

We booked a "park and fly package". Just leave your car in the hotel car park. Frequent airport shuttle busses from very early in the morning (£3). A very convenient way to travel if you have an early flight. Efficient and friendly registration and comfortable rooms. Service for evening meal in the restaurant was a little slow and they couldn't find the children's menu. Otherwise the food was very good and service friendly and efficient.

« Decent stay. Property and service could use some improvement »

Lobby was beautiful. Check-in was okay. Associate at front desk was not very friendly. Sink drain was down when I got to room. Once I unplugged it, the water was running straight through the sink on to the bathroom floor. We had a group staying with your hotel as we were holding a Ritz-Carlton customer service training. One of the attendees called down three times asking for more blankets because their room was so cold. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely unhelpful and it took over an hour to get the blankets delivered.

APART FROM PARKING ISUES ITS OK As we arrived Saturday 6 October it was not a nice day as i am a disabled driver there was no spaces to park and parking in car park was so so stupid and crazy cars parked on pathways to crossing and juntions blocked so no one can get in or out so i had to park near entrance as receptionist told me as i have been in 3 times to complain i have to say and been honest with you its the worst car park ive ever been in .... now thats saying something will you please hint on my message more disability parking and better assitance of parking layout and been manned for lazy parking and people blocking pathways and junction should be fined if not removed as its a great danger and not applicable for emergencies

« Good experience overall but not happy that 2 x breakfast tokens had been added to my account incorrectly »

It was strange that although I booked 2 rooms on behalf of myself and my friend, only my friend was permitted to have fast checkout even though I booked both rooms on my card. Fortunately this then meant I could query my account in the morning and was surprised to see that 2 x breakfast tokens had been added to my bill even though they were not asked about or confirmed either way at my check in.

« Very Easy and Pleasant »

We have stayed at the Novotel several times when flying from Stansted. We have always found the staff VERY FRIENDLY and VERY HELPFUL and the shuttle bus is always on time. The hotel rooms are modern, very clean, the bathroom has a lovely walk-in shower. There are tea and coffee facilities plus a mini fridge, there is even a large TV on the wall - Mattress's and pillows are so comfortable - but PLEASE do something about the bed bases as they creak at the slightest turn!! One thing we always have a problem with is booking on-line the website works well until it comes to adding the parking (for us 8 days) there is no facility, or if there is it is not clear. It seems the only way is to ring. Just another issue whilst I'm here, the breakfast prices - my wife only has a cup of tea and a slice of toast and having to pay full price seems very unfair. Having said that we will look forward to staying with you again in a few weeks time. THANKYOU
