« Lively surrounding , modern hotel »

I use the metro to reach the hotel. Shulavska station is not so close as I expected, but overall the location is OK - lively surrounding with shops, cafes, entertainment and other. The staff was quick and accurate and the lobby was suitable as a meeting place with business partners. Breakfast is in Mercure style and that means a good quality. I did not like the fact that Mercure Kyiv Congress was not found in "Places by Le Club AccorHotels" app. There was only to Ibis hotels in Kyiv listed. So I could not complete the mission.

My stay with you was great. The only thing that strikes you - is the contrast between the grounds of hotel and shopping mall with the rest of the block. But it’s also ok, cause transport situation is good in the area

The facilities of the hotel were renewed and room was very comfortable. What surprised me, the attitude of the hotel administration towards loyal members. I hold Silver membership for a number of years and up to this stay it was always offered a welcome drink from the hotel for this type of membership. I always appreciated that taking a glass of red wine. However, this time, administration informed me that since now the Silver members can not get glass of wine, just coffee or local beer. It looks like not a big deal, as there is no problem to buy as much wine as I need. Still, I did not like such attitude of saving, which does not look very polite in my opinion. For me it signals the reduced attention to the loyal members of the chain and I was thinking to reconsider to stay in another hotel next time

Starting from January 2018 welcome drink benefits were changed in all Accorhotels. According to new rules Silver member can choose soft drinks, hot drinks or local beer. Gold members' drinks are same as for Silver plus house wine. You need to get only 7000 points more to go to the next level of loyalty program. « Worse than I expected »

Much worse than an average 4 star hotel in Europe. Rooms are small. Bathrooms are tiny (2 people would not fit into the bathroom). Sound insulation is bad (I could hear everyone from nearby rooms and the corridor). Customer service (from both reception and housekeeping staff) is rather rude. I didn't get any upgrade (I'm a Gold member) or at least I have not noticed any difference between my room and the standard room (in terms of size).

« New and modern hotel, very clean and comfortable, friendly staff, but a bit far away from the city center. »

I really liked the comfort and quietness of the room. Staff in general is friendly, helpful and has a good knowledge of English. It is good to have the shopping center in front, just in case something is needed. The service in the restaurant is bad. It is too slow and waiters don't seem to care about customers, even if we were only two and there weren't any other guests in the restaurant in this occasion. Also, it does not make any sense that I have to pay the restaurant bill separately and it cannot be charges to my room, as in any hotel around the world. Transfer from the airport is way overpriced, adding a charge for waiting at the airport hall. This waiting is something that is expected when booking a similar transfer, so I see no reason for such a charge, especially bearing in mind that there weren't any delays in flights. When comparing this same service to other hotels, it is almost the double. I didn't understand why I could use only a maximum of 8000 points of my loyalty card to pay part of my stay, when I had almost the double of points available at the moment. I have done it in other occasions in other hotels without any problems.

« Nice experience, but with some minor remarks »

Overall it's a good place to stay at. Breakfast is good, hotel is quiet, location is only few metro-stops from centre and close to our business-location. But, some room for improvement: - Rooms are very dark. Lighter wall-paper can change that. - Only light in the room was at entrance and the on the bed side-tables. No big light to switch on in the room, which is a miss. - Apart from the Airconditioning, which can be easily switched off, there was also some fan running all night that couldn't be turned off. It was very disturbing and kept me awake few times - The beds are quite hard. - No extra blanket in closet (with the fan blowing cold air, I was a bit cold) - The oats at breakfast were way to wet (should be more like porrage) - Allow possibility to charge meals from restaurant to be payed on the room

Overall a very nice stay with a few minor inconveniences. The very positive aspects of the Hotel are the brand name Mercure, very professional airport-hotel transfer, modern facility with well-equipped gym, pool facilities, excellent outdoor bar seating and terrace seating, fantastic and delicious breakfast options (best of all Mercure Hotels I have visited), best room service and restaurant menu I have seen at any Mercure Hotel with a very wide variety of excellent foods and comfortable room, high standard of bedding, 24 hour room service, 24 hour housekeeping, excellent air conditioning, superb amenities (robe, slippers, hygiene kits, lotion etc) and a convenient shopping center and cinema across the street. The few negative aspects of the Hotel were conflicting information regarding room service from reception and room service, mini-bar in room was broken our entire stay and the drinks were colder outside of the mini-bar than in the mini-bar, very low water pressure that at times just stopped completely when taking a shower, confusion regarding room service (open 24 hours but between 1:00-5:00 on morning of 01-September ALL room service was closed) and overall the hotel design is very dark with dark colors used everywhere including the outside of the building. Dark hallways, sofas, walls, curtains, rugs, paint, furniture, lighting. The hotel, in my personal taste, was simply too dark and gave it a sinister feel. It could use lighter colors to brighten the mood. However, once again, the hotel is modern, well equipped, the breakfast and restaurant menu is fantastic and the girls at reception and housekeepers, doormen, barman, room service attendant, driver were all extremely courteous and professional. The hotel is a plus. The biggest complaint was the water pressure. Being on the top floor, which was great, I have to assume that the water pumps are old or weak and need to be replaced to transport the water up to the top floor correctly. One additional mention and thank you is for a wonderful young lady at the reception on the overnight shift between Friday 31-August to Saturday 01-September. We returned to the hotel very late following the concert. The hotel did a great job of sending us a taxi to pick us up from the Olympic Stadium. We returned very late and I wanted to order a burger and filet mignon at 02:00 (01-September). However, to my surprise and reception surprise, room service was closed for "cleaning" I think from 01:00-5:00. I tried again and again from my room and mobile phone to order pizza for 1 hour. Finally the young lady at reception helped me and ordered Domino's pizza for me and it was delivered hot, on time and delicious. I said thank you to this young lady but please thank her again for me and let her know how much I appreciate her help that night. Finally at 03:30 we got our Domino's pizza and it was because of her. Please thank her for me again and again. She was wonderful! Oh, and also please the most important person during my stay. Please thank Irina from the Reservation Department. She was the best person I met at your hotel and her service was friendly, professional, helpful, efficient and effective. If I can please ask you to thank only two people at your hotel, they all deserve a thank you, but if I can ask you to please thank two people at your hotel it is the overnight reception girl I mentioned above AND Irina. Irina was fantastic from the beginning and she was my ambassador from before I arrived. She gave me all the information I needed, answered all my questions, arranged for the airport-hotel transfer and was also courteous and kind because she allowed me to pay at the hotel instead of charging my card before my arrival. I had a data breach on my credit card so I blocked internet charges. She understood completely and allowed me to pay at the hotel. Irina is an employee that deserves to be employee of the month and promoted. She was so friendly and she also shared information with me about the city and the concert before I arrived. I am also in the Hotel Business and I know how to recognize talent and potential. This girl has it. Please tell her "Thank You" from NXM and let her know that the concert and my stay at the hotel was amazing because of her! Thank you for a great stay at your Hotel. I hope to visit again in the future.

Please, take our apology for all inconveniences you met during your stay. From time to time we have to do preventive works in the kitchen. Unfortunately, this time it happened during your stay. All mini-bars in our rooms are set to the same temperature and can only keep the food cool. Also we already make a note to your profile to accommodate you on 5 or 6 floor, as the problem with water pressure still exists. Our engineering department is in process to fix this problem. Wake up call requested but reception omitted Service at the bar downstairs very bad, you get completely ignored by the staff / waiters and need to get to the cashier to place your order and pick your coffee. Cleaning of the room not done, bathroom not even the shower, no vacuum in the room during the stay, still some dust. Be careful of their double charging as I've booked a prepaid room on Accor website and was supposed to pay only the taxes when checking out. However they've charged me the full stay on my card and the girl at the reception  Tetyana was very bad in customer service threatening me and so.
