Customer service is lacking. Staff are not adequately trained. Maintenance of hardware is not giving sense of assurance.

Really comfortable? Clean hotel. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for me. Staff remembered my preferences so didn't need to ask more than once - they checked in to see if I wanted the same options.

« My second Home ! »

I have been to Shanghai many times and also to other Accor Group Hotels in Shanghai. Grand Mercure Century Park is my favorite one. In no other hotel, the staff is so attentive, helpfull and friendly. This applies to all areas. Cole and Roger from front desk are really nice. Ella and the other ladies at Club Lounge are well trained and much more attentive than at other Accor Hotels. On my last stay I noticed abother thing . . . there is one new younger concierge, as I arrived with Taxi at the hotel, he first checked the price on the Taxameter and asked the driver why the price is so high (I came from Hanghzou) . . . this was really good, should be done from all concierge when a guest arrives. As I noticed the hotel will start renovation shortly. Some rooms need a fresh up, thast right . . . .

« Standards are falling, service poor »

Breakfast service poor, miserable cook at the omlet station, staff rushing round unable to keep up with demand. Coffee machine in the room and teabags is nice but no milk (powder and liquid) means I cannot use them. Bar appears to be rarely open these days. Room looking tired, bath top leaking, airconditioning full on or completely off no matter how it was adjusted. Generally room and hotel looking and feeling tired.

« Hotel keeps on getting down in all respects »

hello, Initially stayed in room 1207. it is showing a lot of signs of wear and tear, rust on the steel lamps, dilapidating finishes. Big doors with the wind going through. Poor experience. Breakfast selection is getting more narrow (Western), poor customer service by the new hires. People smoking in the bathroom of the gym facility. Was placed to room 1801, it was better.

« Same nice room I had when it was a Radisson Blu, dead venue »

Check In: inexperienced trainee took a long time and was not "sure" about my rate Room: Great. Same Biz Class Room I enjoyed when it was a Radisson Blu. Except shower handle was broken Bytes Bar: DEAD. A desert. Very sad. Good host / barkeep but even he was shaken by how much the place had zero popularity anymore. $20 for a bad glass of Cabernet might be part of the problem. It used to be thriving. Now it is a morgue.
