« Disappointed 2 night stay in Paris »

We were never greeted from check in to check out. Front office staff members was either on their phones, chatting with another employee or just looking down even we stood right in front of the service desk. We never saw a smiling employee durin our 3 day/2 night stay. This was at the 6 Rue Saint Laurent location....there were 2 sides of the same hotel. Check in staff was not friendly nor helpful. When we asked for more towels on both days, front staff seemed to get them only unwillingly and in an unfriendly way. When we tried to check out in the morning, 2 employees were looking at pictures on IPad and didn’t even stop it until I asked to be checked out. During the process the 2 women continued looking at the pictures instead of speeding up my check out process. It was very unprofessionally. The location was convent very noisy. The windows and walls were thin and we could hear people talking on the streets, loud music and more from the late evening until early morning hours. I knew Paris was full of unfriendly people, but I expected to at least meet friendly people at the hotel. This was one of my most unpleasant and unwelcoming stay at any Accord Hotels. Surely, will not recommend nor come back to the same Ibis hotel location.

« Convenient location but noisy room »

Convenient location near gare del est. But room 32 (4 bed) was on the ground floor beside the lift and courtyard. Whenever other guests come and go, we could hear the opening of the doors which affected our sleep badly. Heater was not very warm and the toilet bowl choked twice. Flush was not strong and the toilet paper got stuck easily. Staff on duty was generally helpful but some has problem with English. Breakfast was reasonably priced.

« From the ibis hotels I know, one of the the less qualitative »

The hotel is just in front of another Ibis with "TGV" added so this is confusing to start. The building is old, you have to cross a courtyard to get to the lift and it is for just one person. Breakfast is basic but correct.

« The facilities are OK. The receptionist of the first day made a mistake with the receipt that has not yet been corrected, even though it was promised several times. »

When I arrived at the late evening of Monday, 12th November, the receptionist booked two breakfasts on my room - even though I was the only person in the room and had booked the room for one person. He blamed booking for his mistake and argued to be unable to correct it. The receptionist at the next morning would then give me a corrected receipt and refund the money. However, at the next morning I was told it would take one more day. Same procedure next day. I am still (!) waiting for the correction that has been promised again, again, and again. I have very often booked Ibis hotels all over the world. Ibis Paris Gare de l'Est 10eme is very much recommended to change its personell to reach the standard of all the other Ibis hotels.

Size of the room was good, the receptionist was a wonderful lady however with no fridge or kettle you couldn't settle into your room. Taps were broken & curtains allowed lots of light into the room at night.

« Rooms small but breakfast is good »

The room was really tiny, the TV just had few programs and all in French, but breakfast was really good. Real glasses in the bathroom would be preferred over plastic cups. Water pressure in the shower is so low that you barely can wash off the soap.

« Cleanliness is below my expectation »

1/ Lighting is not strong enough. 2/ I requested to fix the bad smell in the room in the morning, but staff didn't tell me the result when I return in the evening. I found out the problem was not fixed and eventually requested to change my room. 3/ the new room was not available till afternoon, therefore, the staff told me to pack all my stuff and put in the store room. (Actually it was put inside a room, not a store room.) When I came back to the hotel at night, staff didn't put my baggages into the new room, they just moved them to the store room. I then collected my baggages and found out one bag was missing. The staff refused to check the room which I have put my baggages in the first place. I was so disappointed that what services is provided by Ibis. Staff are not helpful to solve the problem. They only did what I insisted them to do it.

There was some confusion about the booking I had originally booked online to stay at Ibis Gare de l'Est TGV and we had been put into the other hotel without this being clearly communicated. TGV had been recommended and was the hotel I had wanted It was a school trip, 9 pupils and 2 staff. Initally the 2 staff were put in a block far from the girls, but I was pleased this could be changed

« Worst experience in Ibis hotel. »

Our stay in IBIS PARIS GARE DE L'EST 10ÈME didn't start well from the beginning. We arrived after 12 noon on 06/10 for check in but was told the room wasn't ready and needed to left all our luggage in hotel storage and return later for check in. Due to other pre-arranged activities we only return for check-in after 10pm and given a room on ground floor which had a window open to a small court o bigger than 12sqm . After we entered our room, we noticed air condition was not working and informed reception about it. He tried to fix it but was unsuccessful and informed us that he need to check with maintenance team next morning . We ended sleeping in stuffy room for a night as we can't even open the window as there isn't any window fence and one panel of the window can be open fully for someone to climb in. On top of that, there are people smoking in the court most of the time when we are in the room. Bear in mind, our room and the hotel is a 100% smoke free hotel. Next morning, I also noticed the hair dryer was also not working and requested for another room due to all issue we encountered with the room but were told hotel was fully booked and there isn't any other room. The reception also informed us that the air condition is not faulty but was turn off due to some EU regulation on air condition. The only solution we got were a fan and another hair dryer.

« Four night stay »

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and daughter. Reception is nice and the staff are very welcoming at all times.Room was clean and maid came each day,made bed and fresh towels if needed. The neighborhood did not look too safe but fortunately we did not have any problems. There is a metro station and bus stops close to the hotel, very easy access to the center. Negatives: The room we got was not the one that was shown on the pictures. Very small elevator.

« I would expect more even from Ibis hotel »

I did online check in, requesting 2 additional bath towels. They were not in the room. Room had molds in the bathroom as well as some "hair" and the doors at the bathroom were broken.. We were literally not able to close the door. There was available free mobile phone to be used, unfortunately in was not charged and there was no charger so it was totally useless.
