« Amazing, but by chance »

In my area of business (medical research related) we are almost 80% of the month travelling. With such busy schedule, it’s really important for us to keep physically active after work. It was lucky that around your corner, there are 3 gyms and while I was staying, the anytime fitness was on open sale allowing us to train for free. This would not happen on the next time I’ll be travelling to Melbourne. I would highly recommended you to look for an agreement with any of the gyms around the hotel that could be offered to with your accomodation (like a number of lady passes they could provide or some kind of deal with the whole building, including hotels guests and families living in the higher floors) I admit that this was the very unique down point on my stay, but it will definitely prevent me to stay again with you guys if it doesn’t change. Please, by aware as can be seen on my stay that all the other points of your hotel let me extremely satisfied, mostly your reception staff. Thank you

I enjoyed the stay. I liked locality, the room and the facilities. During the 5 day trip the housekeeping services only cleaned the room one day. I thought they could have done a better job. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

« The overall experience was good but a bit below expecatations. »

The overall experience was good. The location of the Hotel is good. Very close-by to a Public Transport options. Can be reached from Tulamarine Airport quite easily using public transport as well. Staff was good. The room arrangements were awesome. Areas of improvement, that I would like to suggest, 1) Hotel need to have Gym. Though we were told that the Hotel is very new and has arrangements like an Apartment, we need to have a Gym facility for the Guests. 2) Hotel need to have good arrangements for breakfast. 3) The Check In and Check Out policy is very rigid . In my case especially (along with one more colleague of mine) there was a bit of a mess up where we wanted to do check out a day before agreed date and stay at hotel near Airport as we had to catch an early morning flight. We were not allowed to do the Check out and we were told that the same need to be informed at the time of Check In. Though we had informed the reception that we shall be doing the Check out a day in advance but the same was probably missed by the reception. Ultimately we had to start a bit early in the morning from the Hotel and that too without even having the breakfast (the Café opens only at 7:30 am on Weekends). If the hotel does some improvements in these areas, then this will be an awesome facility to stay for any guest visiting Melbourne. In spite of my experience as mentioned above in the last week travel, I am thinking of staying in the same hotel for my upcoming travel in another month and half. My family and I felt very happy and comfortable staying at Sebel Melbourne. But we would like to recommend to instal air conditioner at the bedrooms. There were mosquitoes during our stay.

Small new apartment with underwhelming experience. Typical of any new apartments these days corners cut, cheap design. Single 3.5kw airconditioner for living room and two bedrooms left us hot and wanting to sleep on the floor in the living room.

I arrived and was told there was a $100 bond that was on top of my company charge back. This was because it was not specified in the charge back, which my PA had no knowledge of. In other words, if my PA was simply informed it would have been included, or should be included as a standard practice. Not wait until I turn up with 6staff and have to pay $600 bond. When I get to the room it has a wahing machine but no dryer. I was told I could use the dryer down at the laundrymat. if I was doing that I may as well wash it there as well yes? The tables are cheap and nasty/wobbly, and the chairs are just as cheap an uncomfortable. There is no desk so nowhere to conduct business. There are hallways to nowhere, literally. There was a hallway the length of one of the rooms that went to a window. Crazy.

I live close by but needed somewhere to stay when work was being done at my house. The hotel was therefore convenient to my purposes. It was great having a coffee machine, including a decaf pod and complimentary wine, water and biscuit. However, the 2-seater couch was way to small to stretch out on, and a bigger comfy lounge would have been nice. In the bathroom there was a faint, odd smell like blood which was very off-putting. The bathroom basin drained way too slowly. But overall, a comfy, enjoyable stay.
