Attended a 3-day Mastercard Conference in the Fairmont and arrived two night earlier to enjoy Austin. Great location. After the first night, the maid "missed" cleaning our room - but was fine the remainder of the visit. The room was excellent. Our Hotel internet connection was less than satisfactory and continued to drop devices, so logging back was unexpectedly tedious. The final two nights treated us to spotting & failed access to the DirecTV system. I was busy at the conference, but my lovely wife missed out enjoying her evening cable shows / movies. Hotel food met standard expectations, while superior staff service was challenging with so many conference attendees hanging out within the hotel.

My first room had a light bulb burned out in the mirror, the bottom hinge to the shower door was loose and felt like it was going to break the glass when I used it, and I could hear every conversation and noise through the door that joined the room next to mine. Grateful the Hotel offered to switch me rooms, but that was a pain to pack and move floors. In my new room, the TV quit working and never worked the last full-day I was there (I understand it was Hotel-wide). Also, nobody came to make up my room the last full-day I was there. Overall, I was quite disappointed.

The check in was a long line. The checkin team was pleasant. There was a major problem with the Internet and TV system while I was there. Essentially the TV did not work. This was annoying when trying to catch up on national news.

« My stay was comfortable for the most part. »

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. All of the pillows were the same kind, though- the ones that go flat when you lay on them. Having a couple of firmer pillows in the bed as well would have given the option to mix and match for maximum comfort. The door to the adjoining room was surprisingly thin which made it sound like the guy with the hacking cough in the room next door was basically in my room. I had 4 days of him waking up early in the morning and coughing up a lung for a good hour. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

The staff wasn't as friendly as expected. No one seemed to know where the meetings were being held or the location of the rooms. The staff at the buffets during the meetings were not friendly. The rooms and meeting facilities were very nice. The workout facility was great. The staff at the door and the check in desk were great.

Overall great. Noticed there was no waste bin in the bathrooms which seemed slightly inconvenient, but overall loved the beds and bathroom amenities.

Beautiful hotel, staff was ALWAYS cordial, polite, welcoming, asking if I needed anything, etc. My only complaint was that I ordered a hamburger thru room service and by the time I paid tax, gratuity, room charge is came to about $40!!! WOW. That is my only complaint.

It was a rewarding stay for a business meeting. Staff was pleasant and went out of their way to make sure my stay was great. The only problem I encountered was with the TV and wifi connections which went out at some point.

The rooms and facilities were nicely appointed, but in my case, I experienced many issues. The TV did not work consistently - I could not retrieve the menu (had an error) and at times the TV remote would not work and the TV would shut off without warning. Wifi was extremely weak or non-existent - I could connect, but there was no throughput. I had room service my first night - After finishing, I pushed the button on the cart multiple times, but no one came to pick up the cart. The cart sat in my room all night. Also, I sent a text to retrieve my car from valet parking, and when I arrived in the lobby fifteen minutes later, the car was not there and I had to remind the valet to check for my request and then they went to retrieve the car. Ultimately, I decided to cut my visit short and moved to another hotel a few blocks away with a more consistent guest experience. I have already told many of my Oracle colleagues about my unsatisfactory experience at your property. I will not return.
