I was not feeling very well and had been unable to get a refund on our booking so to be honest I was grumpy at check-in however, the lady that checked me in handled me so well! she had an unusual name, curly blond hair. id love to give her a big hug and say thank you so much for being so very gracious! I was with my husband and our 8 month old daughter and we were so well looked after by Alfred in canvas when we arrived on Friday and then again at breakfast on Sat morning. Kathryn was also very helpful at breakfast. Id simply like to say a big thank you to your team, their kindness and professionalism changed my mood instantly and even though I was not feeling very well, I thoroughly enjoyed by stay and would highly recommend your team and your property. Thank you so much x

« Disappointing: lacks customer service, oil on beach, cockroaches »

I should have cancelled this booking on receiving a ridiculous reply to a simple question asked. On arrival we were told the room was booked only for 2 adults - the booking confirmation I had showed three times the booking was for 2 adults and 1 child of 5 years. Instantly made to feel our child was unwelcome simply by the way it was put to us as a problem. My husband and daughter went for a walk on the beach and came back with 2 pairs of ruined flip flops and red raw feet from scrubbing off crude oil - the beach had an oil spill and the globules of oil were on the beach - a poor member of staff apologized that he hadn’t got to them in time before the damage was done. We requested a sign was put up to avoid others doing the same. Spa staff caused much distress with their approach and pushing to upsell. That said your masseuse Hx? was a shining star out of all your staff. Our package included dinner which we were told would be at Canvas on all 3 nights, on night 2 we were taken to the pool side restaurant and the buffet wouldn’t start till 7pm so had to kill time. Most parents like us with young children were dealing with tired, hungry children - trying to keep them ‘going’ till they could eat - not a great start to dinner. No food available for children other than a pasta dish every night and this evening buffet was exceptionally limited. The buffet was outside in humid temperatures and few chillers. 2 cockroaches ran across the sushi station - on alerting the server he simply flicked them away and tried to serve sashimi. The contaminated food was never taken away. Managers would only run out of the kitchen and back again deep in their phones so no eye contact could be made. On settling our drinks bill and signing for the food we were then chased out of the restaurant for not signing the bill. This was highly embarrassing but we saw this over and over - staff didn’t have a clue. Other guests were allowed to dine at Canvas as seen on our walk back? For a family hotel you have so many things at odds - the same pasta dish as the only choice for children at dinner doesn’t make dining fun, poor desert selection and the same foods clearly reused day after day. The Lava pool was a dissapointmemt - many families were enjoying it in the morning with chilled music and a nice vibe then the DJ came on and the music turned to an uncomfortable level - many families left - then the ‘singer’ removed any families left. For a new hotel fittings were broken already - eg shower heads sprayed in all directions due to badly fitted or broken - we couldn’t use the shower in the bath without soaking the whole bathroom. Only 2 towels were provided because as the reception said it was booked only for 2 people. Room not made up till 5-6pm despite us leaving it at 10am - at 5/6pm we wanted to be back in the room but had to mill about to not be in the way. Just small things which added up over the 3 days to make the stay decidedly poor and not even close to an expected 5 star or Fairmont experience. Feedback given on check out as well and the usual platitudes and ‘we’ll pass it on’ but no concern or belief that action would be taken.

Overpriced Extra facilities were charged extra Free WiFi was very slow and was not available throughout the hotel Room was average given the price Breakfast and dinner buffet was good Staff was not very efficient Lot of flies all around the property and in the room No discounts on Spa Had to wait for check in

After a great stay at the sister property in Ajman, we came to this property with high hopes. This was completely dashed from the moment we checked in. Arrived at 3pm which was the check in time. After a 20 minute wait at the front desk, we were told that the room was not ready and it would be an hour before it could be occupied. Offered us to sit in the adjoining lounge but told Natalia in the Front Desk that we needed to be in downtown Fujairah for church services and would need to leave the property latest by 5pm. Alas this was not to be and we only managed to get into the room at 5pm and had to rush off immediately after that. Needed to rest before another hour journey but could not do so. Mr Maher in the Front Desk completely ignored us and was only interested in engaging with other Middle Eastern guests. Upon entering the room, the room was not cleaned well, there were rubbish left behind by the previous guests and the floor was wet. There was no coffee pods and no turn down as indicated in the advertisements. The only saving grace for this property was the F&B. Platos with the service from Kenneth and Gaurav was excellent and so was the food. The Copper Lobster restaurant for an evening meal was also excellent, again with Gaurav being on hand. It would need a lot for this property to even be in the same ranks as the Fairmont Dubai, The Palm or Ajman. Not worth the money spent on an Easter weekend when the rates were double that of normal times.

Fairmont Fujairah beach From the first day we have entered this hotel me and my wife felt this hotel will be amazing for our anniversary The staff were very polite and professional except the manager Christiano who is the receptionist welcomed me to this hotel and provided me with hotel information. He was very positive and polite Natalia is one of the best customer receptionist she tried her level best to make your stay memorable. We have faced a little smell on the balcony which was from restaurant and she provided us with nice purifier smell. Always you will be faced by a smiley face on entrance who serves you with Arabic coffee El Sayed The manager ( M. Maher ) is not who need to be managing this fantastic hotel. He doesn’t deliver what is expected from a customer. His way of communication is not welcoming at all which every manager should have. Kindly let other manager lead this hotel who’s better in dealing with customer The decorations is fantastic and very relaxing This hotel is very clean, the ambiance is cool Swimming Pool is the best in this hotel It is very big and clean. They have jacuzzi within the big pool. They have pool separately for kids where they can enjoy swimming alone They have a volleyball ground play as well as table tennis Breakfast is enjoyable and very fresh They have 3 restaurants where you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner The room is wide and clean Room service is excellent and they respond to your request on Time Amenities are perfect If you require additional amenities which is not there they will for sure provide you I strongly recommend staying at this hotel and will return back again

The staff were fantastic, decor of the rooms and the internal hotel was spot on. We found the singer on Friday at the beach club wasn’t great, however she was very good at Copper Lobster so perhaps the choice of songs on the Friday was the issue.

We choose your place as a weekend destination to celebrate our 8th Anniversary. We requested the team gently to upgrade our booking + have small cake or any complementary dish for this occasion. They didn't upgrade anything even they confirmed me on my both requests: 1- to upgrade room, 2- to put special cake before we arrived! the only thing they did is arranging bed nicely! I Got shocked and sent my family to the pool then called the reception to check, they apologized and then sent 4 strawberries ONLY topped of chocolate! Couldn't run after more, I was tired of driving more than 3 hours coming from Abu Dhabi! At night I asked for extra bed for my daughter, first they said we are run off all beds unfortunately and can send you only covers and sheets! then they called back saying you have to pay for extra bed which is totally unacceptable! then they called saying we can arrange for this next night but as of now, there is no bed! My balcony light wasn't working and I called to replace, they confirmed my request by sending someone to fix however, no body shows! we spent 2 nights with no usage of our balcony! no upgraded room or any complementary arrangement as promised! in addition to that, bed's pillow weren't comfortable. Kids club was closing early, at 6 PM however best time to enjoy it is after swimming and we couldn't reach it in our first night. it should be working until 9 PM as its a resort and most guests are coming from faraway destination. At our last stay, I requested for late check out to be at 2 PM max. we finished backing our stuff and sent kids to club however I passed by small unconscious incident, abet abdominal pain that pushed me to stay 10 minutes longer in washroom, at that time, I received like more than 3 annoying calls asking to check out!!!!!! I would rather to explain this maddening issue while checking out for duty manager but we were on hurry to leave and couldn't reach him/her. Rest were very good, breakfast food, welcoming in lobby, parking service, and all facilities.

« A most relaxing and enjoyable stay »

The most striking thing was the friendliness of hotel staff - almost all of them went out of their way to make my family and I comfortable; the breakfast and dinner buffet was commendable, and added to our enjoyment. The facilities were excellent (pool, spa, etc.) Although we didn't get to use the gym, perhaps additional facilities (e.g. mini golf, tennis, squash) may be good complementary facilities to enhance the experience?

this is really magnificent relaxing place , we can describe how the quite is , but at Fairmont Fujairah you can " see it " Although it was a business trip , but i also enjoyed the pool in the early morning , i was following daily preparing the pool for the guests, i have also enjoyed the breakfast & lunch - it was tasty , healthy and well done. the smiles are everywhere all the time. i never felt that i miss anything , and i would like to give a special thank to Mostafa at the reception , he is really decent and was very very helpful. i would never stop writing about my beautiful 6 days at Fairmont. do you really need to feel relaxed and see how the paradise looks like ?
