We stany in the hotel from time to time when we visiting families. We enjoyed the accommodation especially the lunch. This time we stayed in the new part of the hotel in the ground floor. We are happy with the accommodation, just sometimes a bit noisy as we are near to the road. Overall it is still a good base for us.

We had to wait much longer than the 2:00 pm check in time. When we did get to our room the curtain track was broken. This was repaired but the curtain was not rehung correctly. The toilet roll holder was falling off the wall and there was a leak from the bath/shower making a puddle on the floor. Our dinner in the restaurant was also not up to the standard we had come to expect. We were given a complimentary drink and a discount on our final bill but the faults distracted from our enjoyment of the visit. We felt that all these 'niggles' should have been picked up before our visit.

The hotel was great but the card I was first given didn’t work , then when I walked in the room the bed was not made dirty glasses and a dog bowl was in there but the receptionist was lovely and she upgraded me so all was good

Stayed here two nights on a Groupon deal and what an amazing deal it was. Hotel off main road and we were given a room in the courtyard. Room was clean and spacious. Tea/coffee in the room and cleaned daily. On our deal dinner was included first night and it was fabulous, great service and choice, breakfast again was a great choice buffet style. Strongly recommend

We booked on Groupon to stay at the hotel. The service was great, the bedroom was very clean. We had dinner on the 1st night included, the menu was limited, as they normally are with Groupon, however the food was well served and well presented and of-course very tasty. What really attracted us to the hotel was that we were around 30 minutes from Blenheim Palace, We had a fantastic day (luckily the weather was on our side)

I have recently returned from a two night stay with our four legged friend Boyce at Mercure Thame. We were pleasantly surprised with the dog friendly rooms, we had a great view of the Chiltern and Boyce loved the fields. Although we could not take Boycie into the restaurant, the waitress set up a lovely table in the bar. The food was great, service was attentive and friendly. We have already booked to go back in the New Year. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The wash hand basin would not hold water. It slowly drained away and it was necessary to replenish the water a couple of times just to complete shaving. There were a couple of slug type creatures in the shower tray the following morning. The individual on check out suggested that they had probably crawled out of the shower drain. I gained a feeling I was not the first to mention these unwelcome guests.

Staff not interested & felt as if i should not be there. I am 100% sure i left some items in my room, however after THREE days !!!! i was told they were not at the hotel. Having been a regular visitor i feel this will be my last.

Checked in online - still had to check in at hotel so saw L. point in doing that. Room was satisfactory with comfortable bed and quite spacious. Restaurant meal - Wife was gluten free which was stated both prior to arrival and at ordering. Was still presented with fried onion rings with her steak which were not gluten free. She pointed this out and it was rectified but should NEVER happen. Overall quality of meal in our opinion was quite poor and would not want to eat there again.

Everything was excellent except the overhead shower was very temperamental as it kept going from normal to scolding hot. It seems the thermostat is faulty. The hand shower was next to useless as it just dribbled water out! The restaurant food was excellent.

shower and wash basin leaks - water all over the bathroom floor. have had to use our towels to mop up water. toilet seat was broken and we have slipped off twice which could have caused an injury.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. Check in was efficient. Room was comfortable, well-equipped and clean. Meal in the restaurant was excellent. Two minor quibbles - water in both the bath and washbasin drained away very slowly; I arrived for breakfast at 07:00 and everything was ready. However, very few guests took breakfast before I left the restaurant at 07:30, so I expect that those arriving later would have found the hot food under the warming lamps to be rather "stale".

This is a lovely place. I come to this hotel regularly, staff are great, dinner is good, etc., but this time they did not find my reservation, despite seeing their confirmation email on the screen. They of course apologise, and I was lucky that they have a spare room, but it was nor a courtyard room that we normally book, so a bit more uncomfortable

The staff were very helpful and the restaurant staff were great. The breakfast was excellent. Not too sure about the wedding buffet. Hog roast. Meat lovely but didn't think roast potatoes went with salad. Our room 205 was nice but only one set of towels put in bathroom, I found the other set in the wardrobe so I put them in the bathroom only to find when we both had our showers that the room cleaner had taken one set away. We had to share a bath towel. Othwise all good
